Merlin is fabulous!

We are having a relaxing morning snoozing and having a wee wash. I have not been exempt from the washing and was woken by my forehead being thoroughly exfoliated...

I so wish I could "like" all these posts, yes the tummy is adorable. He lets me snorf it. Bluebell would kill me if I tried that!

Ollivander84 · 20/05/2017 13:44

Ollie is out doing his important cat FINGS in the rain Hmm
I've never seen a cat run like him, his back legs are straight so from behind he looks like he's doing a self important bum wiggle. Must try and catch it on video!

Leroy is back to normal having been a VERY poorly boy yesterday. We think he ate something he shouldn't have when he escaped!

Dave is on my lap

Very late to this thread Smile

His Highness is sulking with me today and he probably has good reason.

He's been to the vet three times this week because of abscesses caused by bites on his tail. He's only needed to go twice. The extra visit was because I wrote down the time for today's appointment wrong and turned up an hour early. He doesn't mind the cat carrier so much, but the short journey in the car is traumatic. To get him back into the carrier to get back to the vet for the correct appointment time it took a bit of trickery with tuna (on the same crime level as treason according to his Highness).

He is currently sporting a feather-duster-stuck-up-bottom look due to the shaved part. The cuts into the abscesses have been left open and unstitched to let any pus get out. I've been instructed by the vet to bathe the wounds in a salt water bath. This is obviously easy Hmm

So, not only have I subjected him to necessary and unnecessary trips in the car, I have literally been rubbing salt into his wounds. And making his breakfast taste funny with the prescribed painkiller. And imprisoned him because he's still not allowed outside. He should be grateful he's not having to wear the cone of shame

DH is deemed entirely innocent in all this, despite him doing the first vet trip and the medicine this morning; it's only me being punished today Grin

All finished. Cat now has her own bedroom. Does she like it? Does she fuck. She is NOT impressed

I'll move in Soubriquet!

Soubriquet · 20/05/2017 18:10

You would be welcomed! Least it would be appreciated Grin

Goingtobeawesome · 20/05/2017 19:09

Just caught mine under my duvet so I'll have to change the bed now. Bad cat love her so much

TheCatOfAthenry · 20/05/2017 19:13

@Goingtobeawesome my kitties sleep in my bed every day and only change sheets weekly and I've survived so far. Could you avoid bed changing? Grin

cozietoesie · 20/05/2017 19:14

Why? Grin

dementedpixie · 20/05/2017 19:15

Why would you need to change the sheet?

Goingtobeawesome · 20/05/2017 19:54

It was filthy! Plus the quilt is covered in fur and I have asthma so..

Goingtobeawesome · 20/05/2017 19:55

It's only a day early for my usual wash

cozietoesie · 20/05/2017 20:26

That's fair then. Smile

MycatsaPirate · 20/05/2017 20:46

So many gorgeous cats on this thread!

We have been out and came back half an hour ago to find this. They all acted very nonchalant but I suspect they were discussing the outrage of their dinner being late tonight.

TheCatOfAthenry · 20/05/2017 20:51

@MycatsaPirate - fabulous fuzzy felines!

MycatsaPirate · 20/05/2017 20:58

Thank you AthenryCat. They are all equally adorable but so, so different in personality! All rescues too. Aged 3, 5, 11 and 13. Wouldn't be without them. Although I feel we are missing a few colours. A nice ginger cat and maybe a tortie would look nice, don't you think? dp says no :(

TheCatOfAthenry · 20/05/2017 21:09

Your DP is totally BU!

caoraich · 20/05/2017 21:13

MycatsaPirate your DP is definitely BU. You could do with some ginger, tortie, and an all black fuzzy friend as well, if you ask me. They seem like a friendly bunch, I'm sure they'd make space on their sofa Grin

cozietoesie · 20/05/2017 21:42

I'd have said a ginger and a black at least. A tortie I'm ambivalent about. Wink

Ollivander84 · 20/05/2017 23:28

Wanting to go and play with the traffic in the dark "I am vampire cat, I must go out"
