She's in at least. I'm having a cuppa on my fire escape slash attempted urban garden and she's so shy to come out it's heartbreaking she looks so tiny. Will she be like this for long? She was just starting to enjoy our bit of grass jumping over the garages watching the birds and the hussle downstairs. I've got to go and see my sick dad next week and the cattery is full I don't know how I'm going to leave her.

Do you mean that you don't know how to cater for her while you're away, Each ?

TheCatOfAthenry · 18/05/2017 11:42

@EachandEveryone any chance you could bring her with you? [insert soppy emoticon here]

caoraich · 18/05/2017 13:27

each could you take her with you? She's a wee cutie isn't she. Some cats like travelling- I saw a lady with one in a carrier on the train between Glasgow and Edinburgh the other day!

Soubriquet your room is excellent and I now have ideas for my "cupboard of random crap" Grin

Today I have been working from home and Maisie and Freya seemed to think they were part of my skype call. Thankfully they stayed behind the camera, and are now snuggled up snoozing!

Ollivander84 · 18/05/2017 13:32

Ollie woke me up at 4.45am howling singing the song of his people. Opened bedroom door and he came trotting in and slept until 11am Confused
Rock and hard place - if I leave the door open he clambers over me and my stitches, if I shut it, he sings. Loudly. And at inappropriate times Grin

I've been digging out the front and Ernie has been with me...making the most of the neighbours garden, rolling around their sonic thing Grin

Oops- pics! (giant coffee cup obscuring ranty email...)

They appear to have - at the least - accepted each other? Smile There's no sense in the first picture of anything but their acting in concert.

EachandEveryone · 18/05/2017 14:57

Oh she would be fine on the train even for three hours im sure but i doubt my mum would let us stay she doesnt even like me there! Ive rang every decent looking cattery. I have no issue with my neighbour but its the night thing it scares me. I might just go for three days.

caoraich · 18/05/2017 15:05

Each how about a home-sitter person? I have in the past used a cat sitting service where they visited regularly, but when we had to go away urgently for a funeral right after Freya had been spayed, we spoke to our usual cat-sitter and she had Freya to stay at her house while we were away. It went really well.

cozie yes they're quite pally now! Lots of following each other around and licking. Still some growling when Maisie goes too far with the wrestling but we haven't had to separate them in ages. Freya does jump up to a high windowsill or into the loft for some peace for an hour or so each day...we'll see how long that lasts for as Maisie is growing FAST!

cozietoesie · 18/05/2017 15:08

Well - the occasional growl and taking herself off for some quiet time? I know how she feels ! Grin

Sounds OK. Smile

EachandEveryone · 18/05/2017 16:27

I've found a cattery they were lovely on the phone but I'm abit worried I couldn't see the runs on the website. Blooming £16 a night! I had no choice a cat sitter won't be here on a night. I'm just hoping it's a nice as the one she usually goes to. At this price I'll have to sit on the coach for six hours rather than pay for the train!

TheCatOfAthenry · 18/05/2017 18:45

Wrestling!

Had their first cuddle this morning.

Leroy has been sleeping all day... the little bugger got out last night Sad. Came home 4 hours later, sopping wet, god alone knows what he was doing. No signs of any injuries though.

cozietoesie · 18/05/2017 20:06

Have you any thoughts about how he got out? He's not allowed to, is he?

YesItsMeIDontCare · 18/05/2017 20:22

Door got left open. Pushed to, but enough to get a paw round. No he's not allowed out, but at least he came home. I guess taking him for walks means he knows his territory, if you see what I mean.

On a lighter note - he goes very curly when he's very wet!

cozietoesie · 18/05/2017 20:26

Naughty chap. You'll have to be very careful from now on. Smile

Soubriquet · 19/05/2017 07:43

Should be getting today or tomorrow a large cat tower delivered for Tootsies bedroom..

Bogburglar75 · 19/05/2017 10:50

BogCat before I did the unforgivable and got out the hoover because the carpet was knee deep in his fluff

He is now stretched out along the skirting board giving me his best attempt at an evil glare.

Wonderful. Smile

(Even though it's a picture, my hand is aching to tuck those stray legs up. Is it warm where you are?)

TheLongRider · 19/05/2017 13:53

A moment later she collected herself and tucked her paws in again. Gave herself a shake as if to say, "How could I be so forgetful."

It's just a south-facing kitchen with lots of glass.

How could you disturb that? :(

Ollivander84 · 19/05/2017 13:58

Ollie is playing very British queueing cats (spot the one in the sun too!)
