Well done. Take it easy the both of you - Netflix, now, for hours :)

Ollivander84 · 10/05/2017 15:31

I don't. The op may not happen as I have self discharged but that's a very long version of events!

cozietoesie · 10/05/2017 15:32

No more riding or mucking out anyway, then?

Ollivander84 · 10/05/2017 15:39

I haven't been able to ride for months Sad whilst waiting for the surgery

The downfall of living in London I'm afraid I've been working on it all day and I've planted her a big pot of grass she seems to be into it

RubbishMantra · 10/05/2017 17:02

Oh I'm sorry O. Feel like discharging myself, (I've been admitted). Nothing as serious as you though. There's a twatty old lady being a proper wanky attention seeker, who constantly shouts everything that comes into her head repeating herself over and over and over. Sort of like Hell. Keeps shouting she's pissed the bed every 5 minutes, (she hasn't).

They took about a pint of blood from me for tests. Had better days. Confused

Friends kindly looking after the boys.

Fluffycloudland77 · 10/05/2017 17:59

Hell is other people IMO.

Could you look after yourself if you went home?. I'm sorry to hear your ill Flowers

HemanOrSheRa · 10/05/2017 18:18

What is going on? Are you OK Mantra and Ollie? Flowers.

RubbishMantra · 10/05/2017 18:35

Don't tempt me Fluffy. Went a long long time without eating after getting ill and appetite didn't return, extremely feeble, so best I stay in I think.

caoraich · 10/05/2017 18:56

Oh Ollie and Mantra I hope you're alright. The little fluffy ones and I are thinking of you Flowers

Lanaorana2 · 10/05/2017 20:17

Beloved M! Oh darling, my sympathies are with you. I bet hosp is dullsville, if not worse, but you are much better off there. First things first - take it easy, the kitlings will be fine, let us know how you are on here so we can Keep An Eye.

You might have thyroid disorder - feel like death, no app, go mentally slow, it happens at Our Time of Life. Post your blood results on here and we can have a look.Dr Lana, MD (Univ of Google) at your service.

Have you got a kindle? Can we send you anything good? ditto ipod?

There's ALWAYS a flamboyantly demented person opposite - it's the NHS cabaret, one complementary ticket with admission. Last time I was in a hosp it was my dad :)

Nightly shows at 7pm (symptoms get worse at sundown). Earplugs and smoking room, I would.

HemanOrSheRa · 10/05/2017 20:24

Deary me Mantra Sad. I hope you get sorted out soon.

Such a shame I don't live anywhere near either of you Mantra and Olli (I don't think). I am an amazing nurse Grin. Actually that is a complete lie. DP calls me Nurse Ratched when I've had to look after him after various ops and illnesses Grin.

HemanOrSheRa · 10/05/2017 20:52

Yes, as Lana says Mantra and Olli if you need anything you must let us know.

Lanaorana2 · 10/05/2017 22:05

Mr C is a rubbish nurse. He starts off well, snuggling up to get the benefit of a fevered hot body, but then screams for food every time you stagger to the loo, tripping you up.

Only when he knows you are really ill does he ease off the meal demands and sit on your pillow looking pissed off but pointedly saintly.

HemanOrSheRa · 10/05/2017 22:18

I'm much the same Lana Grin. Except if it's one of my pets that is ill - then I run around flapping and screaming. Can't deal with it at all.

My two cats are still out! Naughty devils. They've been in for dinner then stalked off. It's been a warm evening here so I don't blame them. DP will round them up when he gets in from work later.

RubbishMantra · 11/05/2017 04:21

Thankyou, you;re all lovely.

Arrived on the ward to a woman non stop, repetitive shouting..

Woke up at 1.30am to another one screaming,"CUUUUNT!! GET ME A BEDPAAAAN!" Can't get back to sleep now. Sad

HemanOrSheRa · 11/05/2017 08:41

Charmin' Confused. You need earplugs. If you can't get someone to drop some off to you, I have wax earplugs here (unused Grin) that I can pop in the post to you today if you let me know where you are.

RubbishMantra · 11/05/2017 08:58

Friend bringing earplugs and headphones for my laptop, so I can watch Netflix to drown it out!

HemanOrSheRa · 11/05/2017 09:06

Oof. Thank gawd for that M! Hopefully you can get some kip then.

Ollivander84 · 11/05/2017 09:26

Ollie glared at me as I packed today GrinBlush

TheCatOfAthenry · 11/05/2017 09:27

Sending good thoughts your way Ollivander. Smile

HemanOrSheRa · 11/05/2017 09:56

Your OP is A-Go-Go Olli? Hope all goes well. Let us know how you are doing. Is the catsitter coming in for Ollie?

Lanaorana2 · 11/05/2017 12:25

Oh M, surely that exclamation must now become a catchphrase. That's all you need. God how grim, Beckett himself couldn't have done better.

Am thinking of you a lot. Good luck with the blood tests. Hope you're not feeling too awful, tho I can imagine you are pretty rough after a night like that.

On Netflix: a one-off pilot thing called Colony that's quite good. Based on that Michel Faber novel The Book of Strange New Things which, if you haven't read, I am sending you. It's a brick, you might feel too weak to lift it at first but you won't think that after page 1.

I am off to do Good Works but am back later today. Have several deadlines for articles which I am ignoring. Big love from me and Mr C.

Lanaorana2 · 11/05/2017 12:27

Failing that, Come Dine with Me on a loop is always soothing I find :)
