Every day since the hormone jab (26/4)

Our Siamese cats gave always vomited regularly Hmm: the 2nd pair not as badly/often as the first pair.

To be fair, the new kittens don't seem to be so bad yet. The remaining old Siamese has the uncanny ability to be sick on the white duvet cover on the first week that it is on (wash it fortnightly superking size is a pain to wash, dry and put on again - do the sheets weekly.)

We've got quite good at waking up when she starts boaking but we don't always get her off the bed in time.

Ollivander84 · 03/05/2017 15:33

He's not generally a vomit cat unless he has a hair ball. It's just odd because it's always a) while I'm in bed and b) every single day
Vets thoughts are liver/kidney/thyroid all fine and so she is contemplating a hair ball blockage or mass but he has no other symptoms Confused
She did speculate (having previously removed a tooth from his nose) that he would probably have something bizarre stuck inside him or something that didn't yet appear in medical books HmmGrin

Ollie does do a perfect OMG Shock face. Thought that just might be his resting face.

Ollivander84 · 03/05/2017 16:10

It was almost as good as this face (when he face planted in a yoghurt)

Sorry to ask you something that may require a TMI answer but - how large is the vomit and what is it like?

Ollivander84 · 03/05/2017 16:17

DO NOT READ IF EATING
Grin

Um just like food really? No hair balls in it. Yellow or light brown colour. Was a much smaller amount today. Always in one pile so he's not vomiting then moving and carrying on

When does he eat, usually? (Or at least during the sickness time.)

Here one of my boys....

Pass - he has access to food 24/7
Generally I put wet down when I get up so that's after the vomit, and in the evening but if he doesn't finish it I leave it down. He has dry down as well (natures menu, Lily's kitchen, meowing heads)
Beef or beef flavour makes him sick but I don't give him any and no food changes

OP posts:
HemanOrSheRa · 03/05/2017 16:34

Are you sure the manufacturer hasn't changed the ingredients they use Olli? If beef makes him sick.

Ollivander84 · 03/05/2017 16:38

I've checked and double checked all the ingredients and nothing. But beef makes him really sick instantly - if you feed him a beef dreamie or something he will throw up within minutes

EachandEveryone · 03/05/2017 16:58

Is there any Tuna involved? Mine used to be fine with it but not now.

Ollivander84 · 03/05/2017 17:01

No, he has just been on (this past 2 weeks) chicken natures menu or the duck/pheasant one and the dry food is chicken or salmon
I suspect a more allergic reaction to beef because he instantly throws it back up

How was this cat ever a stray?!?! HmmGrin
If he's sick again tomorrow then I expect they will scope and X Ray him on Friday. Luckily he's insured but I have some emergency credit available of about £1000 as well

cozietoesie · 03/05/2017 17:11

Well if he's pooing as normal then most of the food is getting through?

It looks as if something over that few hours of 'fasting' is causing a build up of acids and leading to a morning upchuck of what's left.

cozietoesie · 03/05/2017 17:12

I take it he's maintaining his weight more or less?

Ollivander84 · 03/05/2017 17:13

Yep all litter tray as normal - he doesn't go that much but I suspect that's the decent food and he's the same always. Drinks well too. So odd because nothing has changed

OP posts:
HemanOrSheRa · 03/05/2017 17:50

He is a medical mystery! I hope you can get to the bottom of what's what Olli.

cozietoesie · 03/05/2017 17:52

How old is he again? (Roughly, I know.)

Ollivander84 · 03/05/2017 18:04

8 or so

Lanaorana2 · 03/05/2017 20:18

Good luck at vet precious Olli Is the little cuddler in good spirits at least?

Ollivander84 · 03/05/2017 20:22

Oh yes, singing away to himself, scoffing food and demanding cuddles!

OP posts:
Lanaorana2 · 03/05/2017 20:32

Well that is cracking news, that's the most important thing.

Mr C is vetbound too as he is losing weight ie his thyroid needs looking at, so no big deal. Except for the Terrifying Expense Grin

Having said that, it's all celebration here because I got a ham sandwich for 30p in the Tesco punch-up so the fates are smiling. I advise similar approach if you can face the Taylor-level boxing tactics you need.

M yes I am still singing it.

RubbishMantra · 03/05/2017 20:55

MCat overeats when stressed by something. Then pukes. Ollie could well be picking up on your unwellness/stressing of going into hospital, Ollivander.

Also still singing it myself Lanashnizzle :D
