Fattycat's mouth won't close

Fattycat can't close her mouth. I think she's yawned and it's locked. Threw some clothes in and straight out the house after a chase to catch her. Vet took her straight off me in case she was in distress. She's not though. I her and Snorg have a plot to kill me!!

Hee hee! You sleep with one eye open!

HemanOrSheRa · 23/03/2017 11:43

Ah. Oh ShockGrin. Fatty looks a little bit cross Toddler. Still, she has such a cute squishy face. I'd like to smoosh her Smile.

Toddlerteaplease · 23/03/2017 12:03

Yes, pickle. She's started sleeping cuddled up very close to me all night. I suspect she's waiting for the right moment. Since being poorly Snorg has decided that sitting on my head is also a good idea. They are definitely plotting to kill me.

It's only a matter of time...
Fluffy smooshy kitty's are the best though, my old boy was massive, gawd bless him.
He was vast in terms of body and then hair, I used to sing 'baby got back' to him.
He was not amused...

Weedsnseeds1 · 23/03/2017 18:39

You could be in serious trouble toddler . Check their thumbs for signs of opposability....

Toddlerteaplease · 23/03/2017 20:26

Ha ha I've checked. No thumbs. Silly idiot has just been tearing around the lounge at top speed and run into the dyson cordless. Hope she's not hurt herself anymore. She's a bit quiet.

Any more floofy pics? Slightly obsessed, I blame my lack of cats! Those two could earn you a fortune on Instagram!

Fluffycloudland77 · 23/03/2017 20:54

Are you going to get a cat chutney?

Inarightpickleandchutney · 23/03/2017 20:57

If it were up to me yes immediately but we are doing work in our house and it will be disruptive so it will be 6 months

Fluffycloudland77 · 23/03/2017 20:59

Ooh you could get two! I wanted two but ours is a singleton cat.

Toddlerteaplease · 23/03/2017 21:03

Go on pickle, just for you!

Toddlerteaplease · 24/03/2017 09:44

Ugh just come down to to piles of sick on the rug. (Missed the laminate floor of course) neither will touch lik e lix so I admit defeat on soft diet! Bashed up the biscuits with a rolling pin though.

You've tried, Toddler. Very hard, all told.

Toddlerteaplease · 24/03/2017 10:34

Yes. There's no more I can do. They just won't have it. If she's happy with dry then so be it. Also had the first ever hairball as well. So it just shows how much the Persian food keeps them under control. She took her painkillers fine from the syringe. Being neurotic now that Snorgs tummy is bloated and that it's triggered her pancreatitis off again. But she seems absolutely fine. I need a stiff drink!

Ugh. Just come home to a third pile of sick. Think it's Maia but not sure. Can loxicom make them feel sick?

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 24/03/2017 14:49

I believe it just might in the odd cat. I'd give the vet a buzz to check whether you should continue with it.

Toddlerteaplease · 24/03/2017 15:06

Yes. I just spoke to them. They said it could be the loxicom or the change of diet or a bit of both. So to stop the loxicom and keep her on usual food. I think she's also eaten something she shouldn't as the vomit had a fragment of paper or something similar in it. She seems ok in herself though. A bit quiet but still giving me the big eyed appealing look when I made a cuppa. She's had a good groom and sat on my knee purring and is now next to me on the bed for a pre night shift nap.

Maybe just as well for the time being. I think there's the odd cat that it doesn't agree with - like any med. (Ibuprofen, which seems to be a staple in most kitchen drawers, makes me feel as if death is imminent. I just can't take it.)

Remind me - she was just on it for any residual soreness?

Toddlerteaplease · 24/03/2017 16:38

Yes.

Toddlerteaplease · 24/03/2017 16:39

She's had it since Monday so probably that's enough anyway. She doesn't seem to be in pain. Though I know cat's will hide it well.

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 24/03/2017 16:58

They do hide it well. (And you said she's a little quieter than normal?) Still - that's four days she's had it for now. Hopefully, that will be long enough.

Good luck to the lass anyway. Smile

RubbishMantra · 24/03/2017 17:40

Good idea bashing up the biscuits with a rolling pin. Mine don't chew them anyway, judging by MCat's occasional piles of sick.

Oh, and I'm well jel that you have a cordless Dyson! Envy

RubbishMantra · 24/03/2017 17:50

And me and the boys send healing thoughts to you and FattyCat, of course. Little M has magical powers I reckon. He does look very pixie-like.

Toddlerteaplease · 24/03/2017 18:09

She seems ok. Giving me the big eyed give me dreemies look and is eating. She says hi to Little M. Hevisxto cute. Cordless Dyson is amazing! Worth every penny.
