Devastated over the loss of my boy

He went downhill so fast, they did everything they could but he was pts. He was only 9mnths and was so special to me. I haven't eaten or slept, I see him everywhere. He wasn't like a cat he followed me everywhere, played fetch, came when I clicked. He even would let me know when he needed the litter tray and was so fussy about it being clean. He liked me to stay with him whilst he ate and he hated being apart from me, would cry for me. He was a ragdoll and so different from my Moggys. I'm missing spending my mornings with him, and having him sleep on my pillow with me.

Is it wrong I want another ragdoll? Not to replace my boy but to get back a tiny fragment of what he brought to me. I had never had a ragdoll before him but I've read they often have dog like personalities?

Oh! Maureen is just so beautiful Smile. I hope you are feeling OK? And that dear little Maureen helps your heart heal.

PorklessPie · 08/04/2017 19:36

It's been an emotional day I have cried quite a bit. I'm sure my Malcolm is still here in spirit. She is a sweetheart for certain. Her pedigree name is dewdrop but she is my Maureen. I already have her pencilled in for her neuter and she's a registered pedigree. So I know her genetic history. She is HCM clear which is brilliant. It's just awful that people buy cats and breed them not knowing what they carry. I was naive and had no idea about this but I've probably terrified everyone I know in rl!

Ah. Of course Malcolm is with you. And he always will be Smile.

Look at her little kitten yawn. Cute! Is little Maureen laid on the white blanket you made for her? She is very photogenic! Lots of delicious photos please!

Weedsnseeds1 · 08/04/2017 20:41

Ragdolls are very appealing cats. It's always awful when you lose a pet. I have loved, mourned and missed every one of mine, but there are always the extra special ones. Current cat is a special one. When it's his time I will be devastated.

PorklessPie · 09/04/2017 07:38

Yes I made the blanket and toys filled with catnip, but she has snubbed those for some socks Grin.

She is crying every time someone leaves her and it's impossible to get a photo when she is in play mode! She has just settled down after being manic since 4 Shock.

HemanOrSheRa · 09/04/2017 11:08

He he! She looks like she's laughing in the photo! Enjoy your day with your gorgeous new girl OP Smile.

PorklessPie · 09/04/2017 12:14

Thank you everyone, I shall be boring you with lots of photos but she's just so lovely. I keep smelling her head and giving her a kiss. It will take up to 3 years for her to reach full size and colour.

Maureen looks like she's settled in well. Now, admittedly I am a wet eyed old fool, but I have shed a few tears for you Pie. I hope your girl makes you very happy Smile. Kitten and Puppy ears and paws smell delicious Smile.

Keep the photos coming!

PorklessPie · 09/04/2017 17:55

I really want a Raggie as well now. Do you think they get on with Norwegian Forest cats? Think of the fur overload! Really enjoying the pics x

PorklessPie · 10/04/2017 09:08

There's a brilliant group on Facebook (ragdoll cats uk only) lots of people keep ragdolls with different breeds. One woman even has a sphinx. They are really laid back cats. Love Norwegian forest cats they look so regal.

Eeeee she's so cute, on my Facebook memories thing today it reminded me that it was 2 years ago that I got my ragdoll! I've never known a cat like him Grin

pilates · 10/04/2017 09:40

Congratulations on your new addition. I loved the picture your child drew, please get it framed it is brilliant. 💐

PorklessPie · 10/04/2017 09:45

Jonsnow what colour is your ragdoll? Don't get me wrong I adore my moggies, but I don't get the feeling they feel the same about me Grin. But my boy was like a dog, and I genuinely felt like he loved me.

Sorry OP but no one here is going to get bored of seeing photos of the gorgeous Maureen. She's beautiful.

Jonsnowsghost · 10/04/2017 09:52

He's a seal bicolour (obviously now I'm going to have to share pics!) I agree he's like a dog, he follows me around and he's so chatty he's not a lap cat but he likes to sit near you or next to you. He sits in the window watching for when I get home then runs to the door to welcome me Smile he's brilliant!
