I'm guessing the good outweighs the bad in most cases but just how bad can it be?

Vommed up not quite identifiable small mammals. Not being able to move because I'm their chair. Feeling guilty because I have to vacuum and it scares them. Though they are the main reason behind the vacuuming. I love them and wouldn't be without them.

Yeah she's asleep on the 3 seater and I'm squashed on the smaller 2 seater - I don't want to disturb her Grin she's so lovely.

Have had a cat for 4 months now and realised now I am not a cat person. It annoys me that there is another being, aside from other family members, following me and staring at me and wanting something from me. I would give it up of it wasn't for my children who would be devastated. Sometimes I dream of the cat getting lost forever, unfortunately it is indoor cat. It is like my house does not belong to me anymore and I hate it.

readyforno2 · 18/02/2016 22:27

Ah hills, she's lovely. Does she have a name? Or have I missed it?

Gabilan · 19/02/2016 13:27

Basilio that's a great shame. People tend to "sell" cats as being independent but actually some of them love company a great deal and will follow you about. Despite liking my own space, I love it that one of mine is very companionable and will spend hours being a warmth vampire sitting on my lap.

Cats can live for 20 years. Is there any way you can ban the cat from certain rooms so that you have somewhere that's yours?

catbasilio · 19/02/2016 21:53

Gabilan my cat is banned from my bedroom but I only go there to sleep.
I am hoping I will get used to his presence.

thehillshaveyes · 19/02/2016 22:45

She's called Lily.

My only issue with her so far is that she bites. I'm hoping that it's because she's still nervous and not settled in yet.

When they bring little gifts like live field mice and then let them go under the sofa never to be seen again what funConfused

eleventybillion · 05/05/2016 20:44

Oh my ... Lily is gorgeous.

Worst thing is having your heart stolen by a totally dependent independent ball of fluff. I fear it's too late for you though Hills. Welcome to the world of furballs, cat sick and being woken up at 4am for no apparent reason

TroysMammy · 08/05/2016 16:34

As my cat has heart failure and I no longer let him out, I have put a litter tray in the bathroom. It's really unnerving when you are having a poo and the door is flung open and the cat shuffles about in his tray and proceeds to join you in having a dump. Same goes for peeing too.

Our neighbour is trying to get planning permission for an extension but the planners found a bat colony and now it is on hold. There is some sort of bat preservation order in place to stop him from disturbing them and DNeighbour is highly (and vocally) pissed off.

YoungCat has brought home 3 bats this week. 2 of them were actually dead.... Sad The other was put out of its misery by DH I am living in fear of the council and wondering if the neighbour is paying YoungCat in Dreamies.
