Didn't realise we were that close to the end of part 3. 😂

What a beauty @CoubousAndTourmaIet (although was he ever gong to be anything but perfect?!).

@SpanielsGalore DDs missed me more (marginally). DH missed the dogs 🤔I tried to be annoyed, but honestly...I'd miss the dogs more than him to! We're just so used to spending time apart that two weeks really is nothing. I know he missed the dogs more as he's managed to go 24hrs without complaining about dog fur 😂

Dogs are very happy to be home. They've spent all morning darting around the garden and pounding up to various fences and setting off the neighbourhood woof.

DWS spent last night curled around DD1 like a limpit. When DD1 went to brush her teeth etc, DWS followed her into the bathroom. Think someone has bonded a tad more than I thought. (Yes, I feel a bit guilty now for taking DWS with me when DDs wanted her to stay).

First night surprisingly okay. He yelled a bit at 2.30 and just before 5 but I just went in and sat at the dining table and he settled quickly, so I managed to sneak out for another cat nap on the sofa both times.

As far as the name goes, we wanted a French name again, as with Algernon, because of the bloodlines being 100% French/European for both. It's pronounced in the French way, with a soft n at the end. It means wealth or prosperity, but we didn't choose it for the meaning, we just like a lyrical name and it seemed to fit. Big Bertha (half French) is Aubrielle, pronounced Obrielle, and it goes nicely with Odilon. So there's the very long winded explanation for his name 😆I dunno, we might get funny comments about it, but not fussed if we do. I have a French forename myself, so I'm okay with it.

Odilon sounds quite Game of Thrones (which I’ve never watched) or Hobbit-esque to me. It has a slight mystical sound to it.
