What type of dog are these?

NC as it’s been local to me but I’m curious!
they’ve been picked up by the police

There are several different wolf species, though. Some are relatively scrawny.

Police update

Scrawny yes, but still much bigger than those in the photographs - you can see how small they are relative to the street sign.

Another vote for wolves. They look hungry.

Wolves are much bigger than that - look how small they are compared to the street sign and in the police van.

I've seen a post elsewhere saying that they are American Wolfdog x Czech Wolfdog pups. It was from someone who knows where they are from and is assisting the police.

Came back to update they’re in rescue and approx 6 months old

They’re also being DNA tested so if I see the results I will come back as I’m now invested!

You can breed but they need to be 3rd generation.
