Hi everyone,

We will be collecting our dream little female Goldendoodle here in 4 weeks time.

What is her name?

At the moment we have:

Inca
Zola
Rhubarb
Alba
Zelda
Giselle

Any suggestions?

Rhubarb!

Moonflower12 · 20/06/2025 22:50

Apparently dogs respond well to the ‘ee’ sound at the end of some names.
so Giselle, known as Gigi?

ItsStillWork · 20/06/2025 22:51

I like human names for animals.

Zoë
Penny
Bonnie
Molly
Charis

Zelda is a great name! And she’s adorable 🥰

Definitely a Daisy!🌼

Summersunshinebliss · 20/06/2025 22:53

Stuck between rhubarb and inca. She's adorable 😍

abbey44 · 20/06/2025 22:54

Definitely Rhubarb!

Absentmindedsmile · 20/06/2025 22:54

Imagine calling Rhubarb! across the park…

CandelabraCat · 20/06/2025 22:55

Zelda is perfect!

Itsawildridealright · 20/06/2025 22:59

My first thought from Giselle was shouting Gis in the park 😳🤣 Gigi is better!

My fave from your list is Zola.

My suggestion is sandy 💛

ASheepNamedBagel · 20/06/2025 23:02

Thanks everyone.

Inca was my first thought but DH is adamant it reminds him of ink - and thinks it’s best suited to a dark coloured doggy.

We have a daughter called Allegra so I’m pretty good with slightly different, harder names. Grin

I suggested Rhubarb as a joke and it’s growing on me. I don’t like cutesy, otherwise she’d be Lula.

Previous dogs were Sidney and Kevin.

I love the name rhubarb. You do need to think if you are happy shouting this in your garden or out on walks. Also Poppy (Princess Puppy) is a beautiful name.

SmallChanges3 · 20/06/2025 23:06

Rhubarb but Barbie or Barbs for short.

BlueEyedBogWitch · 20/06/2025 23:08

She looks like a Honey to me.

I love Rhubarb! 🥰

PizzaSophiaLoren · 20/06/2025 23:09

Bramble
Honey
Goldie
Marigold
Dolly
Nemone

ninjahamster · 20/06/2025 23:10

I also think Rhubarb! Oh my, you have so much fun ahead!

ShawnsLeftEyebrow · 20/06/2025 23:12

Rhubarb is cute but I do know two (and a number of Rubies too).

Maybe go to your nearest dog walking spot and listen in on the commonest names near you? We ruled out Willow and Bonnie that way.

PrincessHoneysuckle · 20/06/2025 23:12

Elsie

Lettuceleafy · 20/06/2025 23:19

Honey
Cookie
Emma
Flora
Bettie
Mabel
Martha
Mindy

only pick what you feel comfortable shouting across the park. The beagle called Artemis at our park brings our a few chuckles whenever they call her.

ASheepNamedBagel · 20/06/2025 23:20

We have been waiting a long time for her.

We wanted to ensure our youngest child was sensible before committing to a puppy - she’s about to turn 4, and my goodness, I am like a child on Christmas Eve.

DH and I both work from home, and we have missed the sound of little nails across the floor and cute snores. She should grow into a reasonable sized lump, which is good - as we are outdoorsy.

I don’t think I’d mind shouting Rhubarb or Parnsip or Pomegranate in public.. DH is the one I’m reading these names out to.

Thanks for all your suggestions so far. Swear it was easier naming our children

Imagine calling Rhubarb! across the park…

🤷🏻‍♀️ how’s it any different to shouting for Willow, Daisy or Pepper?
