It’s time for our October “Dog of the Month” thread in partnership with Pedigree® – and we’re celebrating everything that makes autumn magical, including Halloween fun! 🍁🐶

We want to see your dog enjoying the best of autumn, whether they’re romping through leaves, sniffing out spooky surprises, or earning their favourite trick or treat (no costumes needed!). Post a photo of your dog and tell us how they bring joy to this season for a chance to win a Pedigree® prize bundle worth £100.

How to Enter:

• Share a photo of your dog enjoying autumn or getting into the Halloween spirit (without costumes or clothes).
• Tell us a short story about your dog’s favourite autumn activity or a fun trick or treat moment!

Mavis' favourite autumn activity is running around in muddy puddles and getting absolutely filthy before drying herself off on the sofa and/or carpet... but she's easily forgiven because she brings so much joy, and her love and enthusiasm for life make every day better.

We couldn't have asked for a more perfect dog for fostering than our beautiful boy, Dermot. From the first child that arrived in 2022 through to now he's given nothing but love, cuddles and patience to the children we've looked after. Here he is being dressed up as the "wicked witch" ready for Halloween! He doesn't look too pleased, but really he loves it, he just takes all his characters to heart!

This is Beano, our labradoodle who we rescued via the RSPCA in 2020, despite a tricky start he is an absolute star who makes the most of every day. The picture shows him enjoying an early morning walk on Dartmoor ❤

My boy Peter love's mantrailing. We did a Halloween session where he took scents off novelty items and off one person to find another! Here he is in full flow to find his person

Pickle, a German shepherd lurcher cross brings such joy to us year round.

Always enthusiastic at three years old every day is her best day.

At the moment she's loving our long autumn walks in the early morning mist. Autumn colour, so many squirrels hunting nuts and I swear the smells are keener.

This is Boo my 4 year old Shih Tzu. She loves nothing more than a woodland autumnal walk. Even more, she loves snoozing all afternoon afterwards!

This is Archie who we rehomed last year and we love him so much. He is happiest either walking on the beach or through the woods and his favourite thing to do………jump in muddy puddles!! This is him after a particularly muddy autumn walk 😂😂 A great Halloween disguise!

This is Millie. She came to us after her owner fell poorly, she is only 2 and is so very loved 🥰

Fidget by name.. fidget by nature our English Springer Spaniel loves nothing more than running through the leaves in the park, usually chasing pesky squirrels she never manages to catch! An unusual moment captured of her catching her breath.

This is my handsome boy, Paddy. He’s just turned 6 years old and we’ve had him since he was a puppy. He lives with his younger Border Collie “brother from another mother” Chase and Tiger the cat. Here he is, posing in some rather soggy Autumn leaves, waiting for me to throw a ball for him. He’s a lovely boy and I adore him ❤️.

Lito loves Halloween—especially when she can celebrate Howl-o-Ween looking absolutely Spooktacular! Whether she’s rocking a cosy costume or watching squirrels dart among the falling leaves, Lito is all about this seasonal charm.

As dusk falls, she channels her inner Greek ghost dog, adding a hint of mystery to her already lovable personality. With witty captions like “From the Streets to the Treats!” she’s the true queen of spooky season on Instagram. And, of course, a night spent curled by a crackling fireplace with a few dog-friendly treats is the perfect way to end her adventures.

Kublai loves autumn as the squirrels in the park spend so much time on the ground that he can run round and see them all (he has never caught one)

Hi, I’m Hades and I have a very Halloween name… it means god of the underground because I’m jet black and my mummy’s birthday is also on Halloween. She’s a real witch didn’t you know!

I love running around in Autumn playing in all the leaves… but my favourite thing to do is play on the beach and go swimming for stones that mum throws in…. I can never seen to find them though?

did you know… I can carry sticks as big as trees! I like to run up small woodland paths with them and take out other walkers legs. It’s one of my favourite games. Mummy never likes to play though.. I can’t think why not??

i would love to win because not only am I awesome, I am a labrabin… which means I like food… a lot! Oh and toys! So I think this would be great!

I've only had my rescue Staffie a couple of weeks. She's 8yrs old and we're doing all the vet checks, etc. But, here she is, relaxing and ready for autumn!

This is our boy Oscar who loves chasing leaves - he’s an absolute menace and if you’re not kicking the leaves high enough in the air for his liking the woofing is ENDLESS!
