It’s time for our October “Dog of the Month” thread in partnership with Pedigree® – and we’re celebrating everything that makes autumn magical, including Halloween fun! 🍁🐶

We want to see your dog enjoying the best of autumn, whether they’re romping through leaves, sniffing out spooky surprises, or earning their favourite trick or treat (no costumes needed!). Post a photo of your dog and tell us how they bring joy to this season for a chance to win a Pedigree® prize bundle worth £100.

How to Enter:

• Share a photo of your dog enjoying autumn or getting into the Halloween spirit (without costumes or clothes).
• Tell us a short story about your dog’s favourite autumn activity or a fun trick or treat moment!
• We’ll pick a Dog of the Month from the stories shared in this thread to feature on Instagram.

Youngster really likes muddy puddles!

This is Barkley the beagle enjoying his favourite pastime – sniffing through piles of autumn leaves.

This is Jonas. He's 4 years old and he's been a huge comfort while my husband suffered from terminal cancer. I lost DH this summer and Jonas has kept my spirits up with lots of cuddles and funny antics. He loves playing in the autumn leaf piles and sniffing for 'treasures' (aka balls abandoned by other dogs).

This is Rafa. He's 21 months old and a little tinker!
He is always full of boundless energy particularly after the rain, which is obviously plentiful at this time of year.
Every day is a muddy walk but he comes home looking like this while I'm drenched, splattered in mud and with more swear words coming out of my mouth than I thought possible.

But as long as he's had a good time, who cares! 😂

Remi loves her afternoon walks crunching through the Autumn leaves

This is Georgo who loves his walks and stick slaying, whatever the weather.
A month ago he was off his food and not himself and was found to have a tumour on his spleen. We were so lucky as his was twisting and causing pain, apparently the normal outcome is that they are not found before it’s too late.
He bounced back from the splenectomy so quickly, and at the elderly statesman age of 11 every day is a bonus. Currently working our way through his bucket list.

This is Echo, our 2 year old Samoyed, enjoying some frosty weather 🥰

Meet Bella, we adopted her 1 year ago from Dachshund Rescue, just before her 2nd birthday and she's been a great addition to our family. We love getting out in the fresh air with her and she can go on surprisingly long walks for such little legs! I think it's true what they say, you don't rescue a dog, a dog rescues you!

Oscar is 3 and he loves autumn walks ! His favourite autumn activity is to sniff through the fallen leaves 🍂

Hi, I'm Jenson the cocker spaniel from North Yorkshire. I love nothing more than hunting for my ball in a mound of fallen leaves in autumn 🍁🍂

Ralph loves October because it's his birthday! He was 1 last week and celebrated by running through leaves and rolling in fox poo. He loves sniffy walks and Autumn is heaven for him.

she still loves to run into the stream and drink water.

This is Rolo 🐼, our 3 year old cockapoo-shih tzu, in some of his favourite winter wear items now things are getting a bit chillier:

1. on his commute with me to work last week - always a bit fed up about sitting on the floor
2. by the Christmas tree last year, asking if anyone would like to pull a cracker with him

Bloody hell but that apostrophe in the post title is making my eye twitch every time I see it.

This is our schweenie (half shih tzu half dachshund)
She makes us happy every day with her little face and big licks! She especially likes burrowing through the leaves at the moment and because she's so small I keep nearly losing her 🤣
She is 5 months old but won't get much bigger 🥰

This is Bertie, looking thoughtful and enjoying the misty autumn morning. Truth is his tiny mind is devoid of any thoughts whatsoever.

My darling hairy hooligan! She was a rescue, left to die at a few weeks old and not expected to live. We were told she would be 15-20 kg when we adopted her but she is now 40kg. This was taken on her 3rd birthday and I can say she has taken a phenomenal amount of patience and we still have loads of work to do, but we all absolutely adore her. She is silly and soppy (loves a cuddle and her ‘babies’ and comedy gold!
