What is your favourite thing your dog does?

For me, it's his after-dinner nap on my lap. It's something so trusting and warm about him when he comes to my chair and shows he wants his cuddle. then promptly falls into a deep sleep and wakes with sleep wrinkles on his face.. melts me every time..

My malinois: When I get cheese out of the fridge he does this weird like throat/nose noise like you would associate with a slapstick pervert on the 90s fast show

he looks pretty intimidating but is the biggest baby/weirdo ever

OldSpeclkledHen · 17/06/2024 21:02

Just be himself. He's a total dickhead, but he's my dickhead ❤️

Walks around with a toy in his mouth snorting for specific reasons: thank you (after food or a treat), Hello (for me he ramps this up to a slipper) when you come in and sorry, when he’s been a little twat running around the garden barking. He circles you, bigger and more inventive circles and we cheer and clap,

JemOfAWoman · 17/06/2024 21:06

He yawns so loudly and I have to reply "oh yawny mcyawny" cos that's the rules in our house 🤭

My girl wags her tail as she sleeps.

My boy smiles as he wiggles when he greets people he likes.

They are the best ❤️❤️

Comes over and offers his paw, so that you can stroke the underside of his leg. If you try and stop or switch legs, he insists you continue until he is ready for you to stop or switch legs. Love him

Thank you for this thread- it’s cheering me up on a long day.

My dog lifts his leg up for a belly scratch and it’s such a sweet little gesture - melts me every time (he even does it to strangers).

She exists 🥹

My dog get the zooms he runs up and down the hall and skids into the door.

He sits on the back of the sofa and paws our head . He's scared of his own growl. He walks on his back legs. He gives you the side eye. And he sits in the stairs glaring through the banister

My German shepherd is a snob she sits there all proud. Her naughty thing is to chase bees

wizzler · 17/06/2024 21:15

I've had surgery and had to spend most of the last month lying on the sofa. Ddog has been my constant companion. Wouldn't have managed it without him

Rolling in something awful she has all four paws in the air and looks so positively delighted with herself afterwards.

she’s adorable.

ShinyBandana · 17/06/2024 21:19

She always stands still and stares intently at the space on the sofa/bed that she wants to be invited up onto. She wakes me up by just staring at me in the middle of the night and I have to roll over to make room for her on my side, thus trapping me in the space between her and DH

Elcad · 17/06/2024 21:26

When they cuddle on the same cushion after a long walk ❤

Blanketpolicy · 17/06/2024 21:37

Mine used to jump on the couch beside me, nudge my iPad away, then press his forehead firmly into my neck for a cuddle.

Miss him 🥹

Aww I'm loving all these.

Dogs are a joy.

Pushing his nose against the cat flap and snorting like a happy little pig when he hears me coming home Grin

And his lovely, big smile!

Jumping up on the sofa to look out of the window for me coming home. He's always waiting when I pull up in the car and you can see his whole body start to wiggle more and more as I walk up the path. When I get in the door he's started going to lie on his bed so that I can stroke his tummy.

Afternoonteavirgin · 18/06/2024 00:52

Protects me at all costs. I go out at night often, alone-well not totally alone as I have her Smile feel so much safer-in fact without her I'd probably be a recluse (live alone and I'd probably not dare go anywhere if it wasn't a driving situation).

Willmafrockfit · 18/06/2024 07:48

runs down a hill towards me

yesterday i went out, i have my ds dog for the day also, but when i came back the both dogs were so happy to see me it was lovely

Idratherbepaddleboarding · 18/06/2024 08:02

Everything but I love it when he’s dreaming and his paws are twitching and he makes tiny little woofing noises 🥰. When he snores it’s so cute, but when DH snores it’s rage inducing 😂.

Also when we do something he’s not happy about (like move off the sofa 😂) he “fuffs” at us so now we say “for fuff’s sake”. If he’s really annoyed we get multiple fuffs. He follows me round the house and if I’m up and down the stairs sorting laundry of something he fuffs when he ‘has’ to follow me again, he could always just not follow me 😂.

The picture is just because he’s so beautiful 🥰.

I have three rescues. Seeing them so healthy and happy after their tough starts in life just fills me with joy every day. When they run up to me when I get back from work it’s just the best thing ever. Superfluous pic of one of my precious PurplecatDog posse ‘cos it’s the law on this thread, lol

Wags her whole body and gives a toothy grin when I get home. Sits on my knee and makes the cutest chat sounds telling me about her day. Likes to go to sleep beside me under the covers at night.

She also gets really stroppy if I don't go to bed when she wants to (had flu recently and she loved the 8pm recovery bedtime)

Killingoffmyflowersonebyone · 18/06/2024 09:12

Creeps around the door whenever i’m in a room he knows not to enter (study, bathroom). He stays there for however long I’m in the room for and doesn’t make a sound. Just gazes at me.
