What is your favourite thing your dog does?

For me, it's his after-dinner nap on my lap. It's something so trusting and warm about him when he comes to my chair and shows he wants his cuddle. then promptly falls into a deep sleep and wakes with sleep wrinkles on his face.. melts me every time..

His happy walk.

In the morning when we open the back door she will sprint as fast as she can to the end of the garden, it frightens all the birds from the tree. The look of sheer joy on her face is like nothing else.

when we run together on a walk she looks at me rather than where we’re heading, as if she’s asking ‘are we running? Is it ok to run?’

she’s my first dog and I love her so much. She’s so pure.

Lovely thread!

Our girl LOVES chasing the ball and seeing her come zooming back to us with her ears flapping is just such pure joy.

Her excitement at seeing my sister's dog and both their fluffy wiggly bums rushing out to the garden together.

The little huff if she's asked to 'move over' when she's pinched a sofa spot

Napping on her back getting some air to her pumpum

Waiting by the fridge for her post park carrotses

Curling up in the crook of my knees when I'm in bed

We love her so much aaaaaargh!

Sister's dog on the left ours on right - there are 3 other dog beds, 2 human beds a sofa bed and 3 other sofas for them to snooze on, but they choose to wedge into the ratty one in my office 😆

The little tender "good morning" or "thank you" lick.

The "heroes welcome" even when I leave just long enough to put the bin out

The way he brings "treasure" home from our walks

When I'm sad he calmly lets me snuggle my face into his fluff and just lays there so still

He's also hilarious and makes me laugh every single day.

The three little noses popping up every morning like meercats, the minute I make a movement.

They then line up with their heads so flat on the mattress waiting for the obligatory head pat before I get up. Weirdly, always in the same order 🤣🤣

@Beautifulbythebay what breed are they ?

Hellohah · 19/06/2024 19:33

When mine wakes up, he comes to me in bed and nudges the duvet with his nose. This means it's morning and he wants to get up on the bed. He rolls onto his back for a good belly rub and refuses to come downstairs until he's had his belly rub.

The other thing, we have another dog on the park in the morning, she doesn't move, just sits in the middle of a field! When leaving, we tell my dog to go and get her, he runs over and runs round her in circles until she moves, and then he runs back and forth between her and us, hurrying her along. He always has this daft look on his face which I mostly read as him saying "It's your job to control this dog, not mine".

I also love his growl when he wants to play and you ask him what he's got :)
