Would you ever trust an xl bully? My sister has one with young children. Puppy is only 10 weeks and very cute but i just wouldn't trust one around my children. She disagrees and thinks it the owner not the animal. I feel ok at the moment taking my children round but when the dog is bigger i won't be taking my child around. My sister thinks im being dramatic. Just wanted to hear other peoples views.

@Miajk you do realise that any person could kill you? Why risk being around humans? You know humans can snap for any reason?

A dog would give you a few signs it was agitated, a human may not.

Get a grip.

I mean for that reason I don't hang around with ex convicts or dodgy people. This is a great comparison so thank you for proving my point

Gumtree is full of these at the moments, puppies with “massively reduced” prices, despite pages of boasting about being the bloodline of “Well known Bossy Gucci and Big Boss Chanel Thugdog” etc…

Or, ones about 10 months old who are being rehomed “due to work and not having time” apparently but being described as “great with kids”

Just looked at Gumtree out of interest and it’s shocking how many ads are on there for these. This one is one of the saddest:

“Pixie is our beautiful 8 month XL bully. She is a merle and has her passport and papers. We are selling her due to reducing our dogs and moving. Pixie is quite shy and has abit of anxiety but once she adjusts and comes out her shell she’s loving and playful. Pixie gets along with other dogs and very good with kids and people. We got pixie when she was 6 months old and now she’s looking for her forever home . She loves to cuddle and sleep too. Please give me a message for more pictures and information also if you’d like to see her.”

So they’ve had the dog, what, 8 weeks(?) now rehoming due to ‘reducing dogs and moving’. And she wants £3k(!!!!) (and admits the dog has anxiety!!!)… absolute disaster waiting to happen and so bloody greedy too.

Your sister is an idiot. I would stop visiting her.

That poor dog Sad. I agree she’s a recipe for disaster. Shame on the cnts who bred, sold and continue to profit from her.

I've lived with dogs all my life - small terriers and German Shepherds but that's one of the dog breeds I wouldn't entertain. I just couldn't take the risk and although I was always hyper vigilant with my dogs when the children were little you can never be 100 percent on them all the time. People are totally irresponsible cross breeding and selling to people who have no idea what they're doing with dogs. Not a good situation in my opinion.

Awful. The same seller is also advertising a 3yo XL Bully Sad

All dog ownership should be banned.

All pet ownership should be banned.

Just another way for humans to exert control over the natural world.

One day pet ownership will be seen as archaic, selfish and stupid.

I can't wait.
