Does anyone want to guess what my latest foster dog is?

I foster for a rescue and currently have custody of this little cutie. But what the heck is he?

He has very short Queen Anne legs and is long backed like a daxie. Very floofy but almost wirey type of hair.

I know he's a Heinz 57 but his face looks 'familiar' but I can't put my finger on it

I'm not a dog person and I can't help with the ID, but he is just lovely!

Jack Russell plus?

Erm I would guess.... a very handsome good boy.

Last pic reminds me of a Corgi.

In the head shots the muzzle area and eyes look a little bit Golden Retriever or Labrador.

One of those DNA tests would be interesting!

Just shown dh the pictures as I get what you are saying about the muzzle area. Hes said German shepherd rather than collie or lab.

There's a lot of those about- long back, short legs, hair a bit like a retriever. I fostered a black one.

Why do their legs turn out so badly? Is it malnutrition? Does it cause problems later?

He looks a bit corgi like, those turned out legs and slightly long muzzle. Maybe a bit of JR in the mix , or small collie.

I was just about to say Papillion! My mama had one when I was young and he had a very similar face.

Ps such sad eyes! I hope you put a sparkle back in them soon.

I believe it's a deformity caused by the leg bones growing at different rates. Apparently it can lead to arthritis in older age

I definitely see collie. If my husband didn't see two dogs as a limit as opposed a starting, I'd be persuading you to rehome to me... he is GORGEOUS!
