I have a 4 year old Pug. She is gorgeous. I feed her once a day at teatime and she scoffs the lot. She gets an odd titbit in between such as the end of my toast in the morning but that is all.

She gets exercise every day with me. We go for long walks off the lead through the woods and when we get home she is tired.
I get fed up of people saying she is tubby. She is never going to be slim, but she is solidly built and stocky.
I meet other people with Pugs and they all look the same to me.
Stop saying she is fat. It annoys me when I put my heart and soul into looking after this little dog.
It's people like you who say whippets are too thin

My dogs are only fed once a day too but they have a grazing bowl down all day if they want it. They are chihuahuas and can get hypoglycaemia if they go without food for too long

Most pugs are overweight though so people are just used to seeing them fat but not appreciating that the shape of a pug is barrel like. Must be annoying but your dog sounds like she gets a decent amount of exercise.

And while I am waiting for it to upload... a bit of a back story.

I rescued her. She was being used to breed puppies without papers. She was 19 months old when I got her and had had more than one litter. My vet said three..
She was removed from a cage and given to me. Never had a walk, never seen another dog (apart from the father of her pups).
She was painfully thin.
Now she isn't but she has slight overhang from being bred the life out of.
Do not feel sorry for her. She probably has a better life than you :)

The last litter was caesarian and they didn't want her after this as she was of no use to them.. sorry forgot to say..

I have always felt that dogs come to you for a reason. She needed a home and I needed her for more reasons than I can care to mention.

But she's not fat !

That poor girl! Three litters at her age. Of course she may be a different shape from other pugs. Poor baby.

such as Labradors are fat and Whippets are undernourished

It's so rare to see a lab that isn't fat that my husband and I comment when we see an one that's in shape

She's gorgeous and looks in proportion to me

She's is adorable.

She looks perfect, rolls round the chest where they have baggy skin but she's got a lovely defined waist/tuck up.

Pugs are honestly the best dogs in the world. I cannot ask for a nicer, friendlier, cuter, more loyal best friend.

OP - I also do the rib test with ours and he is perfect 😍 I do have to be careful though as he would eat anything all day long if I let him!
