Today, after a full 24 hrs of panting and pacing and low temp. Our amazing dog went into labor. Now I know alot here do not agree with breeding, however our breeder we have been involved with for over 17 years. this is our third dog out of her . She is an incredible pedigree, so we are what they call a guardian home. I had to allow one breed then the full price of a pup or a pup would be mine. She had the best care including an ultrasound and xray. We knew ahead of time it would be 7 pups. My wonderful breeder drove the 30 min to us today as soon as i called (it was 530 am) by 8 am we have all these amazing pups. and our girl is really being a good mum. So. the picture that would be demanded lol.

to clarify. at 7 months was when our breeder saw my grace advertised for breeding after she came into her heat (she was not ready to be bred at seven months) She actually had her first heat very late and was not bred until after her second heat right around her 2nd birthday.

update. We kept our little (now not so little) cream boy. His name is Oliver and our grace and him are very happy together.

thats him running with our neighbours mini bernadoodle (same age as Ollie) but MUCH smaller lol.. he will get a poodle cut at his next groom, but for now he is rocking the puppy cut and is sitting at 32 lbs already at 4 months old. OMG.... his mama is only 48 lbs. I have a big (loveable) boy on my hands!! For those who said my breeder was a money grabber, she paid for our Grace to get fixed without blinking. I stand behind her and her dogs as she cares SO much about them

this is Oliver yesterday after i gave him a bath (dirty bastard rolled in something ,, do not want to know what!) and blow dried him. 4 months old and has not had an accident in the house since his sister left...sleeps every night from when we go to bed until we wake up (mind...he is a bed hog just like his mama, thank god for a king size bed)

Hi

thanks for the lovely update.

Somehow I lost your thread after my initial post, so missed all the gorgeous previous updates, but I got a notification that the thread had been posted on, so I've just enjoyed catching up!!

Your little cocklodger is gorgeous!!

I wasn't too surprised you didn't keep the girl that needed phlegm removal!! (I'm still 🤮. I'm better 'in the moment' than thinking about stuff). Because going through it once with Gracie sounded very hard work, let alone volunteering to go through it again!!

How are the others getting on, do you know??

Any photos of Gracie & Oliver together??

This is an interesting thread as I had never heard of this concept before.

Personally I can’t work out why the breeder should get the money for the puppies and not you?

I understand it was last year Gracie had the puppies btw!

hahahaha...ignore the fact that mama gracie is shaved right down...she rolled in burrs when we were in the woods behind our house...little brat. thank god for our awesome groomer. her ears were totally covered in burrs as were her poms on her legs.. FIVE MINUTES was all it took lmao. Oliver is getting so big. The little runt that almost died , well i spent some time with her last week as her owners went on vacation... another proof that my breeder is amazing..little millie spent the week at the breeders house while her owners were on vacation. Two weeks from today my husband and i are in the carribean for a week...the first time since covid. both my monsters are going out to my breeders home. No charge just their food going with them. yup horrible horrible breeder lol.

because she owned the breeding rights over gracie. she paid all costs. she would have taken grace before labor to her house for the whole time, but we could not be without our girl for that long so we just got on with it lol

should say...we could have brushed gracies burrs out..but it would have taken hours and been so painful for her. hair grows back. no big deal .. i would rather have a happy family member than inflicting pain on her to keep her in the cut i like lol, grace and ollie bear are much loved and I do not regret for one minute the one breed grace had

Thank you for the update. He is absolutely beautiful..
I really do not understand the popularity of the fashion for all these different poodle crossbreeds when poodles themselves are such a wonderful breed.
