Border Collies owners/lovers

Tell me about your Borders or Welsh Collies please.
I've had a collie a while ago now and I've looked through posts about Collies and 90% of the time they are getting a rough deal. My collie was as good as gold so I thought perhaps it was a fluke but I've seen a couple of posters complimenting them so I'm looking for more of that.

4 of my dogs work, the older 2 would not accept the term retired. I think they count themselves as supervisors and mentors to the younger ones. They tend to bark orders from the back of the quad bike

What I love about Sarah and Paul at Wiccaweys is that they are so gentle and calm with the dogs. If you want to see people who can handle collies watch them work. I dont mean sheep work just how they communicate with the dogs. They bring out the most timid, locked down collies and gently, no rush turn them into happy smiling dogs.
