Hi,

Just looking for some ideas! Finally moving on from a salon to going self employed in my own salon and trying to come up with the name is the hardest bit!

Wondering what ideas others here on Mumsnet would think were good names for a Groomers!😁

I hate cutesy puns so please avoid those. Lou's Dog Grooming - does what it says on the tin.

Lou98 · 23/07/2020 21:22

@Pipandmum I am considering just going for something like that, but I must admit, I do quite like the puns🙈😂

We've got a "short, bark and sides" near us.

Lou98 · 23/07/2020 21:26

@Justmuddlingalong I love that!

Paws and Claws
Shampoodles

Lou98 · 23/07/2020 21:34

@MalificentJones both great names! There's a pet shop nearby here called paws and claws but love Shampoodles!

There's a shampooch and setter near me. I love the pun names.

I just had a quick google and found Vanity Fur which appealed to me.

MalificentJones · 23/07/2020 21:48

I love Shampooch and Setter! 😂

I’ve got a Skye terrier and it’s amazing the number of groomers who are suddenly booked up for the next four months once they’ve been told the breed! So I suggest The Skye’s The Limit.

Thesuzle · 23/07/2020 22:05

Scruffy to fluffy. ?

Lou98 · 23/07/2020 22:06

@Theimpossiblegirl I love shampooch and setter!
I know a girl with a mobile business Vanity Fur, I think it's a great name!

Mucky Pups.

Lou98 · 23/07/2020 22:08

@Allquestionsaregood aw really? Think Skyes are quite rare dogs! I'm lucky enough to have one on my books and she's a wee darling but you don't really see a lot of them!
Love that name!

@JayAlfredPrufrock Mucky Pups is one that I'm considering, I've loved that name for a while now but think it is quite common which is the only thing putting me off

Yes she’s lovely, going to be 14 years old in September, so a proper old lady now but still loving life. She does have a regular groomer but it’s in the back of an independent pet shop so they closed for lockdown. She got so awful without her regular 4 weekly sort out I was forced to ring around and that’s when I found out it’s a bit of a big ask...
