I’m I mad or is this an insane amount for a cross breed dog?!

I paid £150 for mine!
Though tbf, I only ever see working sheepdog pups and occasionally staffy pups for anything close to that price.

The current prices though are madness and I completely agree about some of the pets4homes adverts.

It’s very disturbing how a lot of these dogs are photographed not looking at their owner/looking uncomfortable, I would suspect that all is perhaps not as it seems

@GrumpyMiddleAgedWoman

I cant believe someone would pay that when there are loads in rescues. Lots of threads on here started by OPs who haven't been able to find a rescue that will accept them due to age of their DC/ their cat/ where they live/ their working hours. I had the same experience when my DC were small.
I have dogs and cats and just got a rescue pup. Not all rescues are the same. I don't however work longs hours. There are plenty of rescues with dogs in. This was the first rescue I have ever applied to and was accepted. I did have to fill paperwork in and be vetted though. I agree with rescues doing this they are doing it for the welfare of the dog. Far too many apply to an advert in the newspaper or online and go buy a dog with no vetting from the breeder then the poor dog ends up in a rescue. I was wanting another dog but I waited until lockdown was eased as I knew some unwanted puppy would be turfed out. I got my pup in June. Rescues are full and just because some people are not considered suitable it does not mean others are not.
