Anyone watching this terrible dog training programme?

Terrible trainer using adversive training.

She doesn't tell them off. She uses the language she has to express discomfort. There is a difference:

The first is an attempt to influence long term behaviour. The dam doesn't care how the puppy is going to behave 1 day, 1 week, 1 year from now.

The second is an attempt to influence the immediate behaviour. This is not training. It's an attempt to effect change on the here and now.

No one saying it's the same as rubbing a dog's nose in mess - though a No delivered loudly and aggressively with the intention to scare would be like that. They are saying it's the least effective and slowest way to train.
