Bumbledog is terminally ill...

We've known for some time but only told ds2 recently... He's now very wobbly. Still eating and drinking and wanting to go for a walk.
Ds2 is deaf and autistic. He wants to come home when the end comes.
Work have been brilliant and understand I will need time off.

Oh no not Bumbledog. I am so sorry to hear this Elderflower I know from all your posts how loved he is and what he means to DS2.

We are all heartbroken. He's still eating drinking and wanting to go for a somewhat wobbly walk! I told my boss at work that his sales of Cesar and chicken thighs must have rocketed!

We are his third owners. He was called Bubbles. I kept thinking of the bloody monkey. Our ice cream van man suggested Bumble!
When we got him we were told his owner had been made homeless. Then an old man had him for 3 days and because he howled he brought him back. He was reserved until the morning of the day we went to the centre the people thankfully changed their mind. We brought him home a couple of weeks later. 18 months i took him to a dog show. An old man saw him and asked where I got him. Upon finding out he cried "Sam Sam I wish I hadn't handed you in..." 😔 Turns out he was told Bumble had lived on the streets with his first owner. This would explain the hatred of fluorescent jackets, walking sticks, bicycles, mobility scooters and large vehicles....

Oh bless him, he took a while to find the home he should have had with you.

Our old plumber came into work this morning. I told him about Bumble... We were laughing about when he came to fit a new bath tap. He went upstairs swiftly followed by Bumble. About a minute later I heard... "Hear, what are you doing? Get down, get off..." "Are we alright up there...?"....... "No...!!"..... 'What's going on?"......." Errrr he's sitting on me...! "
I rushed up to find plumber on the floor by the taps with Bumble in his lap!!! 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

Ahh, he sounds wonderful!! I love a dog who has to be involved in everything that's going on. Ours would have been upstairs showing the plumber his teddies.

We have made the sad decision to have Bumble put to sleep on Wednesday. Wilf is coming home tomorrow....
