Bumbledog is terminally ill...

We've known for some time but only told ds2 recently... He's now very wobbly. Still eating and drinking and wanting to go for a walk.
Ds2 is deaf and autistic. He wants to come home when the end comes.
Work have been brilliant and understand I will need time off.

Have just remembered another funny story. A few years ago I took Bumble next door.... I sat chatting with Mrs Neighbour. A few minutes later we realised we hadn't seen Bumble since Mr Neighbour had left. We got up and were walking round calling for him when we suddenly heard a blood curdling scream from upstairs...........
"Ahhhhhh..." says Mrs Neighbour... "It would appear that Bumble has found dd having her bath!!"
He had indeed gone upstairs and found dd's hand hanging over the bath and touched it with his nose!!! 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

Just remembered the weekend I went away and one of my oldest friends had Bumble to stay. The first night he howled the house down. Both df and her ndn had small children so she went down and took him into her and her DPs bedroom. Df rolled over in the bed in the night and realised her dp had gone to the loo. Five mins later she woke up again and when she sat up DP was at the bottom of the bed. She enquired if he was planning to come back to bed... His response??!!
"Well I would but....." He pulled the duvet back and there was Bumble next to DF in the bed... DPs next words were apparently a very stern... "YOU OUT NOW!!!" 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

Elderflower - I have a very doddery 12 year old Labrador. We've had her since she was 8 weeks old. My boys grew up with her and are in their late teens/early 20s now. When we were taking no nonsense rugby playing ds2 off to uni we'd packed the car and were all ready to go when he announced he just had to pop back into the house. I followed him in after a bit and found him on the floor with his head buried in our old girl's neck. We all think the absolute world of her. Naturally she would have little time left, but she has all manner of ailments so I know her days really are numbered.

I can't begin to put my feelings into words, but I will be thinking of you tomorrow.

Have just had a dickwadding arse hat telling me not to say put to sleep on FB. He said it should be put to rest... He's a friend of a friend of Wilf. He got told he was an arse and blocked!!!
