Just been kept hanging on by a rescue for a week who had said to call them back tonight about a dog, only to find out that they have let another family without children visit and reserve the dog. No other dog on their site has been suitable to live with kids for weeks and weeks. Feeling really disheartened as this will happen every time as they only have one foster family with visiting children to assess the dogs.

Are there any other rescues that rehome to families with kids? Dogs trust and RSPCA seem to be a no.

Starting to see why people end up buying dogs from the internet tbh. Not that it's something I'd ever do.

He's not even tried the sofa!! I think the rescue centre must have sent him to charm school as he hasn't put a paw wrong!.... yet Smile

Also Berkshire. Been trying to get a homecheck to adopt a grey for a few weeks. And this morning I received a right speaking to on the phone because I'm too full on. Will look up where you went. For us its got to be a grey or nothing. Well done on your new family addition, he is gorgeous.

@BusySnipingOnCallOfDuty it took around two to three weeks before we were called to arrange the homecheck but since then it has been great, they currently have lots of Greys in the kennels and the dogs are very well cared for. You can visit before your homecheck but can't reserve until homecheck complete.

Bed of luck!
