Crufts

Bought DD (11) tickets to Crufts for Xmas, and looked at the calendar today to see it is just around the corner.
We are both v excited. Going on10th March ( saturday)...
Have scanned threads from previous years which say to get there early, etc.
Does anyone have an advice as to "must sees"?

Bloody PETA again. "Protecting" animals by trying to grab and scare the shit out of them. Good thing those dogs have well bred temperaments and love and trust their handlers to take care of them.

Damned stupid to do something like this these days with all of the terror attacks. Could have been shot.

As soon as they said that judge was into whippets Dh looked at me and said ‘the whippet will win’. He was so bloody smug when it did.

The whippet was lovely.

The whippet was very nice. Whilst the Pointer is a nice dog, I'd have liked to have seen the German Wirehaired Pointer get a nod for a group place as well, I really liked it. Probably one of the nicest examples of the breed I have seen.

I was rooting for the whippet (so calm and graceful and just beautiful - not that I am biased toward pointies at all) or my second choice was the lovely border collie (Roo).

PETA would do more damn good protesting against puppy farms and dog fighting, but they don't because it's not a soft target like showing is.
Yes, there are problems in breed conformation standards but not only are these slowly being addressed, the dog's are well cared for and health tested prior to breeding.
