Crufts

Bought DD (11) tickets to Crufts for Xmas, and looked at the calendar today to see it is just around the corner.
We are both v excited. Going on10th March ( saturday)...
Have scanned threads from previous years which say to get there early, etc.
Does anyone have an advice as to "must sees"?

Hi is flyball on everyday ? Going on Thursday and Friday with my aunt . Also is it easy enough to get seats in the main arenas for the big shows ? Also discover dogs is that On everyday ?

Heats are Thursday and Friday @Inarutneedhelp. Only for a short period each day.
Semis Sat and Final on Sunday (iirc).

Discover dogs is my favourite part every year!

We went today and found seats fairly easily for flyball though it was very popular. The West Midlands Police Display was very good after flyball. Also loved agility and discover dogs. It was a brilliant but tiring day.

So I'm sitting watching the hounds group and the judge is about ten seconds away from choosing the winner and the commentator says 'and the whip..' pause..then again 'and the whip..'. He was obviously announcing the whippet as the winner before the judge had even looked in its direction.
Gave me a laugh but left me scratching my head.
Wtf was that all about?

So happy that a scottie won the terrier group! Probably a little biased though 😀

It can be difficult when they are so spread out in the main ring to see where the judge is going or who the judge is pointing to. Nothing strange here. Peter Purves isn’t exactly the best commentator.

I was cheering on the whippet as well bluetongue

Damn the fact they scheduled it for mothers day weekend and my mother is really not a dog person.

Here's hoping for better scheduling next time - the heelwork to music is mesmerising

Looking forward to watching Best in Show on TV tonight. I want the lovely papillon to win, and the whippet to place as well.

I think it's very easy to miss things when viewing in tv/online.
I've been watching flyball, which I do in RL but because of the way it's filmed it's very hard to see why a fault Light has gone on.
