best names for a boy dog

We're on the lookout now for dog no 2 and have started to thing about names…we have a Monty already and are looking for a Cocker or Sprocker Spaniel.

Well I have a child called Monty who has a brother called Barnaby. Both very fine dog names!!

Ours is Fletcher but I also liked Cooper and Benson. The most popular names locally are Milo, Barney, Alfie and Archie.

ok, I think we've found one. He's a golden Sprocker if that helps.

The problem is we both teach, so finding names is difficult!!!

My Jack Russell is called Colin. It suits him perfectly, but we get a lot of Hmm from the other dog walkers.

I just like it. (And I've never taught an Eric). I found whatever we called our dog we then gave him a ridiculous nickname anyway. He is currently being referred to as 'Herbert' (which is definitely not his name).

We have an Eric and one of his dog friends is called Walter which I think is a great name for a dog. Dd has said if we have a second dog it will be called Edgar.
