Hopefully prong collars are next. Shock collars are the preserve of the lazy "trainer" looking for a quick fix and who thinks suppressing something is the same as curing it.
I posted this news on a breed page I'm on on FB and sadly I was flooded with comments like "used correctly they are a wonderful tool" and "they save dog's lives" and "they don't hurt on low settings" - all total bollocks of course. No matter how much scientific evidence you shove in front of the noses of people like this they still have a "flat earth" mentality.
I have two out of three dogs with issues, none of which can't be dealt with through (force free) training.
