Please help...puppy's head is wobbling

Like a toy dog you sit in the car and the head wobbles as you drive....I've had her to the vet to day.shes had a painkilling injection,they said ear infection...and I've ear drops for both ears....I'm not convinced..any ideas?.. how do you get ear infection in both ears at same time...it's more like a shake / tremor,pup is 6 months old

Not everyone follows the "let bitches have at least one season for small breeds, more for bigger breeds" rule

Some vets are still keen to neuter males at 4 months and females around the 6 month mark

If the vet says she has an ear infection, she probably does. Keep up with the drops and see what happens

If you aren't happy with the vets opinion then tomorrow take her to a different vets and see what they say

Ear infections can be very dramatic but also suddenly improve loads. And yes they can be both ears! Mine did!!
Did the vet see the head wobbling?

Breathe!!!
Wrap pup in towel. You can kneel down on the floor and wedge pup between your knees. Headlock if needed.
Or can anyone help.
I know it's hard. Try it with a wolfhound! If it helps mine seemed to very soon realise I was trying to help and let me do it.

When wolfiepup had ear issues they squelched if you rubbed them. Gross! Fluid could affect balance I suppose. And ear infections bloody hurt too. But can be treated quickly and easily.
Could also be (if vet gave some drops) that pup didn't like the sensation much and so was shaking head?

I had a 10 month old bulldog who had this 'noddy' head. It was some form of epilepsy. It was quite scary and it stopped if I put my finger gently on his tongue - it seemed to bring him round. It sounds very similar. He was prescribed an anti-convulsive, but it made him very lethargic.

To cut a long story short, he had an operation for his breathing issues and once he had had that surgery, the epilepsy stopped.

Yep I suppose I have to hope the vet knows what they are doing...they didn't inspire confidence as he kept getting ears and eyes mixed up as English wasn't his first language,however they are all utterly lovely there and make a huge fuss of her

Hopefully breeder can help too. Don't know these breeds so not sure if they're prone to anything relevant. Probably not but worth knowing.

Im going back in tomorrow..they had to mussel her to get to have a look.i had to leave the room..they told me to buy a muddle ..I think I will have too😩

When they have an ear infection it can be sore. A dog's ear is also quite unlike ours. They have to get the instrument quite deep in to have a proper look. Wolfie pup cried!

Wait...she's only done it when tired and in bed.so first thing when sleepy,and tonight when sleepy

Are you sure it's not just a bad habit then if she's only doing it when sleeping?

Have a sniff of the ear. Does it smell wrong? Is it red and inflamed?

Not always obvious with an inner ear problem but it's a start
