I think we have found the rescue dog for us, he's a bedlington greyhound - so a scruffy/ shaggy lurcher.
We are trying to choose a "human" name but can't agree on one, all suggestions would be very welcome please.
So far we have
Robbie
Riley,
Dylan,
Lenny
Eddie

Worst thing we be done is to try to find a name that DC and DH & I all like - all the names have 3 out of four likes and one adamant no usually stroppy 11 yr old DD

Pick one with 2 syllables like Bertie or Lenny, rather than 1 like Bert or Len.

I was told it helps when training as they pick up name easier.

I like Eddie from your list.

We used to have a Rupert; he was lovely. DD's rats are Norm and Pete.

I can see the merit in two syllables but Dave is great, as is Steve.

Also, Brian, Trevor or Robert.

However, even though when I get my dog it will have a human name, it will be awkward because of the inevitable meeting up with a friend or acquaintance with that name.

DH's first dog was called Roger, MIL has never twigged that I snort each time she mentions Roger the dog
