Good name for a female Border Terrier?

We haven't got her yet, not sure when we're picking her up, still need to decide on when would be best. Her name is Rye at the moment, but I don't like it. I prefer names with two syllables.

She's a really lovely dog, very calm and sweet. She took a treat off my 4yo DD ever so gently :)

Names I like-
Willow
Molly

Names that can't be used-
Poppy
Milly
Grace

I know a Border called Betsy. She's a wee smasher!

JohnCusacksWife · 28/11/2015 20:15

I think Willow's too soft somehow for a Border. They're feisty, characterful little dogs.

mrsmilesmatheson · 28/11/2015 20:22

My mum has a border terrier called lily and my dog is Molly Smile

Borders are lovely but feisty

Candleabras · 28/11/2015 20:30

Choose a two syllable name, its easier for the dog to hear, they might miss the first syllable.

I have a 7 year old male bt. He is the love of my life.

Tilly
Pippa
Mango
Poppy
Harley
Holly
Coby

My friend's border terrier is called Chutney, and I have heard of one called Crumble which I think is cute.

So in that vein I'd suggest

Brandy
Pepper
Olive
Biscuit

I work in a veterinary practice and every female dog is called some variation of Poppy/Milly/Daisy/Tilly/Lily/Ruby/Molly/Betty. Therefore I offer:

Earwig
Humbug
Waffles
Twiggy
Tulip
Pumpkin
Crackle
Rowan
Sweetpea
Lilac
Kipper
Heather

Bridget is a great name, I agree with villainousbroodmare

BitOfFun · 28/11/2015 21:42

Tessa is good for a terrier. You need something short and distinctive for when you are desperately trying to recall them from chasing small creatures into thickets.
