where does your pooch sleep at night?

My 8 month flatcoat retriever sleeps really well in a crate covered with a blanket in the kitchen at present, but she will grow too big for the crate soon and I'm tempted to move her bed into our bedroom for night time. Any thoughts? (she is a bit of a chewer so wary of her being 'loose' in the kitchen)

Outside in a kennel. They used to have the run of the conservatory, but DH got fed up with it being filthy all the time and the door warping from being open.

In the hallway. She has her own bed, doors are closed and there is a babygate on the stairs. She seems happy with the arrangement, but then when we got her she'd spent 13mths locked in a shed with 10 other dogs, so she just needed a space of her own.

In our room on an old duvet on the floor.

On her bed in the kitchen near the aga. Lovely and warm and lots of kitchen smells.

We let her have the kitchen but she chooses to sleep in her crate.

In my bed against my back
Hes only a 5lb yorkie and hes slept there since we bought him home 13 months ago.

Our 17 month lab still sleeps in the his crate in the kitchen with the budgie blanket on. The crate door is open so he kinda stretches out with his head leaning out of the door on a snuggly towel. He loves it in there and will still be there now (7.53am) until I go and turf him out for a wee.

The two boys sleep in their beds in the kitchen but a lot of the times they end up cuddling each other in one bed. Now the youngest one is house trained they get the odd nights in my bed when OH is away.

Our two sleep labs sleep on a big zippy dog sofa bed in our room. Made from kind of faux leather so completely wipe clean.

Theoretically in her own bed in the hall. I put it there when I for her a year ago ages 1 as she was a bit overwhelmed and it gave her some quiet space. She happily sleeps in there if all the doors are shut but the boys often open their door and shout her to sleep in their room.

On my bed. Startes at the bottom, sneaks up to the pillows without ever actually moving...

In their bed in the corner of the living room, normally cuddled up together.

In her crate with a memory foam mattress, a radiation heat crate liner and a huge fluffy blanket (it's def the most comfortable bed in the house). Door is closed otherwise we come downstairs to find she has eaten stuff like the sofa or kitchen

Mine sleep In a hall by the back door on between kitchen and utility. Lovely comfy round beds, faux fur blankets and under floor heating....

on her bed in our room- she currently has her head wedged underneath the chest of drawers somehow...

In his crate in the kitchen, on a bed with two large fleece blankets next to a radiator.

That's after he has shepherded us up to bed, checked that we are cosy for the night, had a twenty minute zizz on our bed to ensure we really are down, and then taken DH down for the final pee. Then he leads the way to his crate, checks his reindeer antler and fave toy are there, snuggles down and has his crate door closed.

If the crate door isn't closed he steals food and pees on the floor. Most odd.

Mine is in the hallway as well ,he has a memory foam mat with three blankets on it ,his pile of antlers and nylabones and a bowl of water . His bed is in an alcove but he often takes his blankets to the bottom of the stairs or by the radiator .

She's meant to sleep on her comfy bed which is at the bottom of the stairs, but she sneaks up into dd1's room and makes annoying noises all night I make sympathetic sounds while being secretly glad it's not our room

Auditangel please let them in when it's really cold, dogs get hypothermia too. Also let them in if there's any chance of flooding, dogs can only swim for a short time and will drown quite easily. Sorry to say all this but there have been some horrible heartbreaking news stories about this in the last month :(

He has his own spot between me and dh.

When he gets tired (only young still) he takes himself off to bed.

Officially, they have the run of downstairs. If BastardDog has been particularly chewy, they get confined to the kitchen. Bin removed.

If ThickDog has been particularly needy, they get confined to the living room. (Don't ask)

If I am hormonal or cold, and the bed is about to be changed, they share the bed with me. DH works nights.
