Looking for some inspiration before the DC get in first

Doggy is a chocolate labrador pup, female.

I love really girly names, but need one that DH will fell comfortable shouting Grin

OP posts:

Bella, I think that's the perfect girly but not embarassing name for a chocolate lab.

My dog is called Sprocket :o

Flatbread · 10/04/2012 12:16

Hey Spaghetti, that is my name Grin

Flatbread · 10/04/2012 12:17

Bella, I mean. Not Sprocket Grin

SpaghettiTwirlerAndProud · 10/04/2012 12:54

minmooch · 10/04/2012 16:56

Hattie

Milly
Chloe
Cookie
Coco

I could go on and on - I have a boy dog though so never got to use girl names!

Gillybobs · 10/04/2012 17:26

I like roxy, Starr, Lexie, ruby and scout for a girl. We have amber but she is apricot so suits her fine!

MrsDeeBee · 10/04/2012 17:31

My girlie, (see pic on profile) who is coming to live with us on Sunday (this week is d r a g g i n g) is called Bonnie. Smile

I like Coco for your girlie.

What sort of names do you like ? Really girlie, something in reference to her breed, or colour ?

musicposy · 10/04/2012 18:46

Our girl dog is Poppy and I love it. However, there are thousands of other Poppys out there too!

SpaghettiTwirlerAndProud · 10/04/2012 18:59

Noooooo not Poppy! My DD is called Poppy :(

prettypurpledaisy · 10/04/2012 19:02

I called mine Boo (after cheesy 70's song, Me and You and a dog named Boo) she seems to like it :)

musicposy · 10/04/2012 19:06

Spaghetti I read somewhere (after naming her) that Poppy was the most common name for female dogs.

If it makes you feel better, I suspect that's what we'd all be calling our next DD if we hadn't all taken the slightly crazy route of getting a dog instead and that's why it's so popular :)

AllergicToNutters · 12/04/2012 11:59

skye, libby, summer, lola, love roxy though.

SpaghettiTwirlerAndProud · 12/04/2012 12:21

Saw some thing that made me chuckle today. Prissy little chihuahua complete with pink hoody, pink with diamante collar and lead, strolling along with her owner, who looks like a body builder, massive 6ft+, big muscly arms and going "Come on Angel, come on sweetie pie keep up!"

I really struggled not to pee myself laughing.

Kladdkaka · 12/04/2012 12:27

Our girl is Rosie. Our boy has a crush on another terrier up the road called Coco.

TeaTeaLotsOfTea · 12/04/2012 19:23

My friends dog is called Gloria Grin

wizzler · 12/04/2012 20:35

Cadbury ? Not very girly though

How about Dorothy ?

DS suggests Ella

DogEared · 12/04/2012 20:39

Nutella :)

AllergicToNutters · 12/04/2012 22:47

Gloria is my fave animal name! I wante dto call our rescue cat Gloria but we ended up calling her Gracie. I love Mabel too

kitsmummy · 13/04/2012 11:13

Our dog is a Betty which I love. Pearl and Dolly were also close contenders. In fact I think Dolly would be great for a chocolate lab!

theodorakis · 13/04/2012 11:37

I actually like Spaghetti, skimming through this I thought it was one of the suggestions!

SpaghettiTwirlerAndProud · 13/04/2012 12:03

:o

I second Spaghetti :o

theodorakis · 13/04/2012 13:17

I recently imported 2 dogs for a guy from Italy, Jack Russells, Mozerella and Spaghetti

crazynell · 13/04/2012 19:12

but you can't call out in the park "spaggy, come here!" it doesn't sound right

Tess, My last girl dog was Maggie - maggie, maggie out, out out - NOT Maggie Thatcher

carrotsandcelery · 13/04/2012 19:16

Marmite? Not very girly I know but I do love it.

GrimmaTheNome · 13/04/2012 19:29

Coco would be good for a girl choccy lab - there's probably lots of other chocolate names that might work. Galaxy, wispa..
