What's the best name you have heard for a dog??

Today whist out for a walk...a dog owner was yelling for her dog in the park. At speed a Jack Russell called....Shackleton...comes flying out of some bushes.

Big name, small dog! IMO Brilliant

My Glaswegian uncle used to have a dog called Dopey. He used to get into no end of trouble calling it in the park.

My Irish uncle once had a dog called Guess....

I had a dog called Shackleton (after the explorer of course) when I was a child, many years ago and passed on now sadly. It was a black lab though, slightly bigger! My dad chose the name. Must admit thought it was pretty unique for a dog.

My westie boy is called Geoffrey. He also answers to Bloody-Dog thanks to bloody husband.:o

I met Trevor the King Charles Spaniel the other day and my dog is a Border Terrier called Sprout.

I knew a rottie called Lulu, she thought she was a lapdog too and would sidle up to people in the vets and try to sit on their laps.

A beautiful deer like looking greyhound called Bambi.

My yellow lab is called Princess Poo when she rolls in fox poo! She does have a real name!

Our west/yeti cross is called Mackintosh, after PG Wodehouse.
We had the name before we had the dog.

DS' Polish friend had a beautiful black newfoundland who, we thought, was called Serious. It took us ages to realise he was in fact called Sirius. Great name.

Once found a lost dog tag with the name Womack on it. I imagined Womack to be a big shaggy hairy boy but who knows!

The landlord at our local calls his lab Barclay, which I love.

And a friend calls her staffie Valentina which is nice.

Another calls her two Benson and Hedges.

We have a cock called Sid and one of his girls is Nancy.
