Why are you awake?

My DS is 2 years 3 months, and he just started sleeping through the night yesterday. In his bed! But what am I doing? I am awake checking up on him if everything is ok 🫠🤦🏻‍♀️

I am also 15 weeks pregnant with #2, and you'd think my body would know by now that uninterrupted night is a gold dust in this parenting world and would just fall asleep, but noooo... Here I am lying awake, thinking about most random conversations I had 10 years ago.
Why are you awake?

@hadenoughforever living or having someone close with an ED is tough. You have every right to be nervous. Sorry no helpful suggestions, but, from family experience, she can get better.

DH woke me up a couple of hours ago getting home quite loudly. Now I’m wide awake and fuming!! I have to be up early too. And I am awful on a bad night’s sleep.

Ear infection here. Sick of the throbbing and weeping (not me, my ear!) and have given up on the codine as can’t be doing with the constipation - sorry tmi! Also feeling dreadful that my poor DS has had a rubbish half term missing out on all sorts. To try and make up for it earlier today I gave him a (retro) game I had got for his birthday which is coming up, it was the wrong disk in the box …

Partner is ill, just the horrible fluey thing going around , has a temperature of 39…

And im laying here in bed, just thinking ‘Do I feel ill or am i imagining it’
Well im over thinking
A cold has put me in hospital before so im just hoping i dont get it but if i do, hopefully i will get it in afew days when he is abit better …

Unwell toddler. She has a chesty cough and is quite disturbed. Got her back down about 10pm after a wake up from her 7.30 bedtime. Woke up about 1 and she was in with me so stupidly tried to transfer her back! She sat up and cried so now breastfeeding her back to sleep. Hopefully she stays asleep going into her bed.
Both kids are full of snot and coughs at the moment so my sleep is limited Sad fortunately tomorrow is my last day at work for a week Grin

Night shift ICU. My patient is stable and doing OK, so far. Just managed to grab a sarni and triple espresso ☕️. Got the weekend off, first one in a while. Lots of flu about this year.

Horrendous acid reflux same as Pp. I've been taking gaviscon and eating clean but had it for a few weeks now so ringing the GP on monday for something stronger. Also got really sore boobs as due on and random stabs of period pain..bad combo!

Because the dogs who live in the flat under me will not stop barking. It has been going on for an hour and a half and i cant sleep with it. It is beginning to really annoy me.

@RoseMartha Have you got earplugs lying around anywhere? Might drown it out. I always sleep with earplugs as neighbour bangs doors early hours or late at night. She's quiet as a mouse all day and comes alive at night.

Just got home from a night out with a couple of friends. Came and laid on my bed (dh is downstairs pretending he’s not sleeping in front of a film) and now realising I made a massive mistake not going directly to the bathroom to take my makeup off and brush my teeth. I’m struggling to find the motivation to move again 😂

@Cassie9032 no unfortunately. They are still barking. It goes quiet for like 30 seconds and then they start again. Its driving me nuts. Slightly better if i bury ears under duvet. But because I feel annoyed I dont feel i can sleep.

@RoseMartha Oh god 😩 that would annoy me too. Get some moldex 7800 spark plugs off amazon. They don't hurt my ears at all either, forget I have them in. I hope it stops soon so you can sleep.

I’m here as my eldest (20) has fallen in the door and was having a lovely cuddle with the toilet. Have persuaded him to go to bed as he’d stopped throwing up but he’s now snoring in his room and I’m wide awake 🙄

I fell asleep on the sofa about 8:30 and woke up about midnight, trying to get my head round my maternity leave and then return to work. Now I have cramps and the baby has hiccups.

Ill 4 year old, staying in a hotel with her using me as a pillow, desperately hoping she doesn't throw up. Not sure we'll be having the nice weekend away we planned, but trivial compared to so many others I know.

Brain just won’t switch off! My mum has been in a care home since Dec 2021 and isn’t happy there at all - visited another one today that I think she will like BUT my god it’s so expensive! Also know I need to sleep which makes it harder to sleep - I cover my daughters care hours over the weekend. She normally has a carer Monday to Friday but been off this week (holiday) so I’ve covered since last Friday and I’m just mentally drained!

My dog (just turned 1) decided he needed a wee, despite having done one at about 10.45…………
So I got up and then had to do one, then took him and the small furry delight I’m boarding for the week out to do theirs.

They’re both asleep either side of my knees now and I’m wide awake!!!!!
But not complaining - I adore my little furry beast!!

Chest infection that won't go away. I haven't had a decent night sleep in over 3 weeks! Hoping it'll go away soon, I've had a round of antibiotics and it's not shifted it but can't continue like this anymore, lack of sleep isn't fun
