Why are you awake?

My DS is 2 years 3 months, and he just started sleeping through the night yesterday. In his bed! But what am I doing? I am awake checking up on him if everything is ok 🫠🤦🏻‍♀️

I am also 15 weeks pregnant with #2, and you'd think my body would know by now that uninterrupted night is a gold dust in this parenting world and would just fall asleep, but noooo... Here I am lying awake, thinking about most random conversations I had 10 years ago.

Currently anxious and overthinking my dreadful ex and what his reply to the latest solicitor will be. This is all very stressful and my brain won't switch off!

Name changed. My head is just busy and I can’t sleep. Been a tricky day and I could do with an arm around the shoulder and a hug, but there is no one to do that.

I've got a stinker of a cold, and can't take anything for it as pregnant. Also have my 20 week scan in the morning and getting slightly anxious.

Not been able to sleep til 3/4am recently then up at 7. Fell asleep with the kids last night at 9 ish now wide awake like it's morning. Lots going on- massively stressed and just feel a bit broken.

Good luck with the scan @UsernameNotPresent - I got really nervous with my 2 as well xxx

Cat woke me about an hour ago. Once I'm awake that's it.. going back to sleep rarely happens.

Lying awake now worrying about my relationship with DIL. Can't do right for doing wrong, and am feeling quite upset.

Sorry to hear that @lipstickwoman . Hopefully she'll know you are coming from a good place and care about her regardless. I know I don't feel bad towards my mil as I understand that she will have loyalty to her son and be thinking of him.

Have been awake since 3 with a vomiting 10 month old 😭 can't wait to get started on the bath full of several rounds of sicky bedding/PJs tomorrow! He's finally asleep in my arms but I'm waiting to see if that's the end of it for now or not 🤞

Thinking is it time to drop the last nap for my nearly two year old toddler to encourage a full night sleep without wake ups in the middle? He is bf so maybe i need to try another day off no naps to see how he goes?

@yvonneb13 it definitely gets better. Hang in there.
@Paintandpots I had to nightwean my toddler at 2 years 4 months for him to sleep through the night. Before that he was waking up up to 4 times to comfort suck/feed, and it was just getting a bit ridiculous. Wasn't as painful as I imagined it would be.
@Triffid14 and @Touty I am so very sorry for your loss 💐
@Chipsandcheese123 and @aquickchangehere thank you, all went well, baba behaved himself for all the necessary measurements.

Just feeling so bloody depressed right now. Lots of things getting on top of me. Sat downstairs crying rather than up in bed where it will disturb my husband.

Think I need to go back to my GP. The CBT clearly hasn't helped. Think I need to start meds and therapy before this destroys my life completely.

Sleep is not happening as a result

How are you feeling? I can so relate. I’ve done this many times too. ❤️

My baby has really bad wind I think colic maybe and is just screaming don't know what to do he's 5 weeks old :( he's on infacol and I don't think it's doing anything DH has took him to the living room and I can't stop crying going on 4 hours now if constant crying 🤦‍♀️ seems to be from 6Pm ti 3am he's unsettled and crying rest of time he's fine HV and GP just say it's normal 🤦‍♀️ he's lucky he's cute but omg it's stressful FTM didn't expect this I knew babies cried but wow

@yvonneb13 have a read of Kathryn Stagg what to expect week by week. Tiger in the tree hold, dark room with white noise, skin to skin, bicycle legs and wonky winding all help here. I'm up with baby 2.

Its been nearly 2 months since I was wide awake at this time but we seem to have a relapse! Think I had a nightmare followed with intense anxiety which has now calmed doen to just being Really Awake.

Contemplating a snack but that means moving.
