I thought I might as well just start it myself. Can we discuss Stenders ad infinitum pleeease? I love it and want to talk about it with other fans.

I mean, the whole Lucas thing is really interesting - emotional abuse being explored by the writers I mean.

I reckon Lucas is going to murder Denise too.

He bloody strangled her(Denise) whilst spouting chapter and verse.

It was quite chilling.

I don't think she's dead.

(Lucas is v fit if you overlook the murdering religous loon stuff)

I dont usually watch it but I found that horrific last night and to be shown at that time. I reckon she is dead. It was scarey.

I don't think she will be dead, I think the body he goes to identify will be that prostitute he picked up (the one that looked like Denise). He will say it's her so they stop searching IFYSWIM. Everyone will think she's dead, but she will return.

I'm assuming that Jane still doesn't know about Lucy's abortion? How is this possible when Lucy shouted across the caf? Wouldn't somebody have said something to her now?

But the actress who plays Denise, Diane Parish, has not been announced as leaving the soap. How could anyone survive being strangled like that?

She is quoted as saying that Denise needs a miracle. Lucas did decide that he was a prophet last night, so who knows what his powers will be??!

I really liked the bit where he said "so you admit it?" when she said Jesus was tempted by the Devil but resisted, whereas Lucas had Denise. He thinks she is the devil!

More worryingly, the serial killing minister thinks he's Jesus

When Danielle died they didn't announce she was leaving so it would be a big shock when she died, so they could be doing the same thing.

I still don't think she is dead though.

Chicken, I thought the same thing about how they portray Christians. I am not remotely religious, but it does seem that whenever someone is, they are crazy-religious, or religion causes all sorts of problems (like Syed being Muslim and gay). Dot gets a lot of solace from the Bible I suppose, although in the early days that was made out to be a bit sad/nutty (not so much nowadays).

The lucas thing doesn't quite work for me - is a crazed religious nutter, or just a nasty piece of work? Or even a reformed nasty piece of work who falls back into his bad old ways? It doesn't quite gel. And, I don't believe Denise would have tried to stop him going to the Police, she's too moral.

So is Denise dead then????????????? Usually you know for ages that someone is leaving but I've not heard anything about Denise leaving EE, does anyone know?

But isn't libby and her bf and chelsea leaving??? Can't really see how denise would stay.

I've just been catching up on EE from the last week. Found the episode where Lucas strangled Denise really chilling.
Not sure how anyone could survive that but hope she does!

I think my favourite storyline was Kat and Alfie. Great that they're coming back!

still really confused was that Denise or not, i said to my DH all through the ep that if we don't actually see her then its not her but now i dont no!!!!!!!!!! lol

I have just got this weeks inside soap mag and there is a bit in it that says Denise's family and friends get a shock after they lay Denise to rest SOOOOOOO!!!! MMMMM THE PLOT THICKENS

Am with Whimsy and EvilTwins - he had that girl holed up in a house somewhere so reckon hes bumped her off and chucked her in canal. I think Denise was strangled till she passed out and she is now locked up in house in place of dead girl. Cant wait for him to get caught hes creeeeepy!

But that girl whom lucas held prisoner was white and Denise is black... wouldn't the police have noticed when trying to work out if it is Denise's body or not?

I've just come from the supermarket and the magazine by the tills showed picture of Lucas and Patrick with the headline "Lucas's next victim?".

This is my theory... somehow Denise is alive and the family finds out. Patrick can't handle it and Lucas kills him to stop him talking.

I have to say I really like this Lucas story line... much more interesting than anything Coronation Street has had in years!

but when Lucas identified the body in last night's episode the feet of the corpse were sticking out and they were definitely not white! si maybe it is denise. It's a bit weird though that they haven't shown her face.

If it isn't her in the lake then why would Lucas pretend that it was?

right my theroy is that the body is the second prostitute we saw him with on the night that he raped denise (you know the one that looked remarkabley like denise!!

Lucas is pretending its her so that everyone thinks shes dead and that she killed owen keeping the heat off of him.

Hai1988 - I must have missed that bit of the rape episode when he was with someone else (not surprising as the DSs were watching football so my days have been dragging on a bit recently!).

So if its the prostitute in the canal, then what happened between Denise being strangled and Lucas going home? Maybe Lucas imprisoned her in the flat with the first prostitute?

hummm maybe!!?? we might all be wrong and it is denise but who knows.

I cant help but think that denise is gonna come bk and expose lucas at some point (i hope)
