I thought I might as well just start it myself. Can we discuss Stenders ad infinitum pleeease? I love it and want to talk about it with other fans.

I mean, the whole Lucas thing is really interesting - emotional abuse being explored by the writers I mean.

what was your favourite ever EE storyline? Mine was the woman from 4 weddings and a funeral who wanted to marry Phil Mitchell but was abusing his son. I found it fascinating... it took time to develop, I could believe in the characters, I really felt for the boy. Only the way it ended was a bit unbelievable.

Bert - ghastly and I'm not from the north, but it really got on my nerves.

I think the best storyline was the who is the father of Michelle's baby one, donkeys years ago.

I can;t think of any story lines I enjoyed lately. The Ronnie/Danielle one really pissed me off. Can't believe they killed her off. I gave up EE for months after that.

I loved Kat so most of the storylines with her were my faves. Until it all went tits up and Zoe started faffing around after Anthony. I couldn't stand Zoe.

Who was she is 4W&F?

I know 5inthebed, they do seem to like to kill off their characters rather than let their lives move them on. The thing with the Ronnie/ Danielle storyline was that it had gone on for ages with nothing happening, but all of us guessing that they'd turn out to be mother-daugher, and then when finally we got there, the writers killed Danielle off in the same instant. So we felt cheated.

Shge was stella in EE and in $ weddings she was the woman who had sex with her balding husband on her wedding day, whilst hugh grant hid in the cupboard.

the character I like best these days is Lucy Beale, but I read that the actress has been fired for poor timekeeping or something.

I can't stand Lucy. Why can't she speak more slowly? And she has been a BIATCH to poor dad.

Also, if you were a man and you had been buried alive in a coffin in the woods at night and left to die by your wife and her lover, would you think you still had a chance wiv her?

I don't think Denise actually dies. I think there is a twist.

dunno about that tefal, cant really be much of a twist uless she has a twin we dont know about and she lives at the bottom of the canal

My fav storyline was sharon , grant and phil love triangle
and stacey and max storyline was brilliant just came out of nowhere

Does Lucas kill Denise? These are the pros and cons I can think of....

Pros
the spoilers say that Lucas strangles Denise and throws her body in the river
then they say that Lucas identifies the body
then they say stuff about Patrick mourning Denise
Libby & Chelsea are due to be written out

Cons
NO word about the actors who play Lucas or Denise looking for new jobs (and in soapland we can't having something unfair happen like the unsolved murder of a major character).
Lucas isn't the most reliable person, so he might ID a different body (if there just so happened to be two people killed/ attempted murdered at the same spot!)
Lucas trys to get Patrick to hold it together - what exactly? That he knows Denise is still alive??
The spoilers go quiet about the death of a major character and start talking about Syed and Ben instead. They should be saying things like the family gather for the funeral. At the very least if Denise had been written out, then the scriptwriters would be milking the ensuing angush a little.

I think that maybe soemhow she is alive after all.

oooh this is exciting; I read in a tv magazine the other day that while Lucas strangles Denise - or attempts to - he is secretly observed by a witness who calls the police............the police turn up ........I think there is a twist and she survives and the body they pull out is someone else.

I thought he'd already chucked someone in the canal? A prostitute?

Lucas was with a girl (prostitute?) the other day who looked a lot like Denise. I reckon he's murdered her and that'll be the body they pull out which he'll then identify as Denise. He needs her out of the way because she knows the full story about him murdering Owen.

The woman from 4W&aF who was with Phil is Sophie Thompson (sister of Emma) She's always fab in everything.

As an aside, when I was teaching in London, my GNVQ Performing Arts students did a writing project with the Almeida Theatre which culminated in some pro actors doing a staged reading of the play wot they wrote. One of the actors was the guy who plays Lucas (before he was in Stenders) and he was absolutely LOVELY. All my sixth form girls totally fell in love with him (as did I... just a bit )
