This was a tv series which I absolutely loved! I watched it from the very first episode and and that time it was just so very different! And so rude!!! I've now got both series on DVD and do rewatch now and again but I was so disappointed in the one off special they did a few years back.
I loved Miles - the Jack Davenport character - but I realise that Egg was really the one you should get together with - the nice boy next door one.

Quite right, Pol (although if I had watched it as a teenager, I might have worked a bit harder at school and gone for law, dammit).

I used to buy two bottles of wine and 20 fags to consume whilst watching. Should have played the Withnail drinking game!

Had a This Life party with other sad singletons lovely friends to watch the final episode.

Blondeshavemorefun · 27/04/2010 15:21

well done poledra

blondes is also a holby/casualty/true blood/fringe/flashforward fan

gawd i need a life!!

CJCregg · 27/04/2010 16:25

Must start watching Holby again.

O'Donnell was vile, though, wasn't he? All those evenings working late, getting takeaways and being so revoltingly understanding. And he had the most incredibly unattractive body, when they finally did the deed. Ewwwwww.

Poor Egg.

Darrellrivers I think it was 1988 I left - struggling to remember all those years ago! I left after Marden as my family moved...

I remember seeing Charlotte/Delilah in Guys and Dolls at school - with Anneka Rice's younger sister playing opposite her - can't remember her first name..

Apologies for hijack!

DarrellRivers · 27/04/2010 20:33

Juliet Rice
We must be very similar year groups
I started 1984 in the first year and had 2 years I think of Sr Hinde as head mistress before Dr D started.
Do you remember Hamster Hall and Undercroft rollerskating?

Add me to the Jack Davenport list - he makes me swoon - it's the posh bastard thing that I love.... ... I'll get me coat...

posieparker · 27/04/2010 20:44

Oh I loved This Life. Tinita Tikaram's brother was in Eastenders last night(and no I don't usually watch!).

posieparker · 27/04/2010 20:45

(I also liked My so called life with Claire Danes and Jared Leto)
