Grew in popularity through word of mouth, don't show script to child actors.....you know the one.

Never seen it and want to watch it.

It makes me and DH nervous. It's like the script writers have been watching us.

Cadelaide · 07/04/2010 22:26

...and herbie

No - there's a few of us. There was another thread a couple of months ago.

The children are really annoying (as children can be) and I find I can live without being annoyed by other people's children in the evening after my own poppets have gone to bed, funnily enough.

The mum is scarily thin, too, and I find myself very distracted by that.

Cadelaide · 07/04/2010 22:35

Hmmm.

I did wonder whether it would be too much like real life.

No though - Cad - i'm sure your DCs are funnier. These actors talk with their eyes off camera like they're looking for reassurance.

Cadelaide · 07/04/2010 22:41

Well I have to watch it now don't I? Just to find out...

Cadelaide · 07/04/2010 22:42

It's BRILLIANT

outnumbered2to1 · 08/04/2010 00:40

OUTNUMBERED!!!

now if i hadn't known that it would have been slighlty embarrassing although i would like it noted in the minutes that i had my nickname BEFORE the programme started

eternallyoptimistic · 08/04/2010 00:42

Love it

BertieBotts · 08/04/2010 01:05

I love it - looking forward to the new series

draggedthroughahedgebackwards · 08/04/2010 01:09

I love it too - DH has even been known to chuckle, and as a rule he will never admit to liking the same TV as me.

The mum does look rather disconcertingly like a younger version of my MIL though.

bellissima · 08/04/2010 12:54

I like it rather more than Life of Riley, which truly does look like the characters were cut out of cardboard (shame cos i like Caroline Q).

LetThereBeRock · 08/04/2010 13:31

I'm with Bibbity on this. It isn't at all amusing and the children are irritating.

bruffin · 08/04/2010 13:42

We love it, everyone has different humour likes and dislikes.

Cadelaide · 08/04/2010 22:03

Well it was okaaaaaay-ish. The only bit where I really laughed was when "dad" was playing on the warship, very funny, but that was one of the very few scenes without the children.

I didn't find it much like real life, as some have claimed. The parents were strolling about in a pretty relaxed way, no-one was interrupting (admittedly that would make crap tv) and it seemed like a bit of a platform for the children to be highly (not) amusing.

I might try it again...or I might not.

Was it a good episode, all you afficionados?
