Finally it's the final tomorrow.

I think we need to change our names in honoour of this.

My money is on Dhruv ...

(BIWI here, btw)

That restaurant in Holland serving smurf sized really small dishes was quite strange. Should imagine you'd need a kebab on the way home from eating there!

hannahsaunt · 09/04/2010 13:51

Friends ate at Gordon Ramsay last year. Had chips on the way home as they were still hungry despite three courses.

Loved Dhruv. Couldn't be doing with Tim being just about to cry all the way through the series.

ooojimaflip · 09/04/2010 14:31

Alex couldn't win due to his inability to hold his bloody head up straight.

HinnyPet · 09/04/2010 14:36

Superme, I quite agree! He had lovely eyes didn't he, and being on the slightly large size he looked nice and cuddly, not brittle like Chris Martin Alex!

birdsandblossoms · 09/04/2010 15:29

but Dhruv didnt just look as if he was going to cry he DID cry all the time he was like a Christmas card... always greeting still liked him though

I'm so glad Terry is OK, in a job, and not thrown himself under a bus - I've never seen such a nervous wreck of a man in my life!!

Alex's head wobbled so much cos his neck was unnaturally long and thin unlike Dhruv who had a bit of a pelican chin thing going on although was rather nice looking thank you very much.

I LOVE John and Greg - the way they shout everything even when they are solo on camera and obviously supposed to be speaking to each other. It doesn't get tougher than this!!! Lol, miss it already.

One thing I liked about this series was John Torode actually doing stuff. Like when he cooked that amazing Thai omelette thing for the palate/ingredients test, and when he ran the kitchen in the 'take over a restaurant for the night' task. V good.

Glad to hear Terry's got a job. Poor lamb!

megonthemoon · 09/04/2010 19:26

John Torode was super-stressy - he's a man on the edge of a nervous breakdown when in a kitchen! And DH and I loved how he got more and more suntanned while in India - he was clearly hanging out by the pool of the 5 star hotel in the Maharajah's palace while the contestants were wilting in the heat!

MNetters, this is the funniest thread I have ever read on here, and I have been through all 14 pages, could not stop laughing and had dcs peering over my shoulder. I am addicted to mchef tho cannot cook, thought Alex would win as his food looked delicious, but prob best bloke won on the night. what will I watch now??

fartmeistergeneral · 09/04/2010 22:34

Yes, I noticed the tan. Love it!! Or should that be 'laaaaaaave it'!!!

evansmummy · 10/04/2010 18:41

So pleased to hear Terry is still alive. I actually thought he would top himself after seeing how ruined he was when he went out! He was an ok cook for someone who hasn't much experience.

I miss them all too.

Agree with the poster that said it was good to see John doing some cooking this time. His tahi omelette was awesome.

I'm cooking dinner for friends tonight, and have sone soooooo OTT it's obv I've been watching Masterchef for the last god knows how long. I wish I was as good as any of the finalists though! In my dreams...
