i wonder if the parents know any of the realities of british public schools

LittlePushka · 11/03/2010 21:27

Do Tumi ever do any playing? I mean real playing out...

BelleDeChocolateFluffyBunny · 11/03/2010 21:28

Poor kid! It helps to be able to talk to the teachers.

youremindmeofthebabe · 11/03/2010 21:28

SEA, i know.

Some horrific tales around.

ladyofshallots · 11/03/2010 21:28

Poor boy

LittlePushka · 11/03/2010 21:29

Coaching him before he goes to bed....whaat?

youremindmeofthebabe · 11/03/2010 21:29

i could'nt answer that, and i'm 30.

BelleDeChocolateFluffyBunny · 11/03/2010 21:30

He's only doing it for his mum (sob).

youremindmeofthebabe · 11/03/2010 21:30

couldn't, even.

orienteerer · 11/03/2010 21:32

That accent (1st one) is so OTT!

BelleDeChocolateFluffyBunny · 11/03/2010 21:32

I don't think they are questions designed to be answered, they are trying to see their thought process?? It's a bit like how long is a piece of string, they are just opening a discussion to see where it goes (or not).

smallorange · 11/03/2010 21:33

I'm torn between admiration for these families, who are so ambitious for their children, and sadness ghat they have to jump through so many hoops to get what they regard as a good education.

It's a shame, but going to public school does open doors, it's like winning the lottery.

ladyofshallots · 11/03/2010 21:33

It does seem like a fake accent - he seems to have created a persona of who he wants to be. Very odd.

LittlePushka · 11/03/2010 21:34

I rather like krishnan,..he seems very engaging and remarkably self deprecating...

orienteerer · 11/03/2010 21:34

Several of the prospectus he had were for Grammar schools (Burnham, Tiffin etc), surely if he's that bright it would be the better option?

BelleDeChocolateFluffyBunny · 11/03/2010 21:35

I think the father's not fussy where he goes as long as it's prestigious orienteerer

LynetteScavo · 11/03/2010 21:35

I agree, orienteerer.

orienteerer · 11/03/2010 21:37

Trying to give the right answers......

LittlePushka · 11/03/2010 21:37

I just lost ALL respect for headmaster...wearing clip on braces, not button on,..at Harrow? Come Come...that is considered really poor form in Gateshead!

BelleDeChocolateFluffyBunny · 11/03/2010 21:38

He wants to be a footballer, he doesn't read alot by the sounds of it. Poor lad, I can't see him getting a place somehow, he's not very academically minded.

southeastastra · 11/03/2010 21:38

ha easy access pushka (sorry)

orienteerer · 11/03/2010 21:39

LittleP - well spotted on the braces, I didn't see that.
