I'll start with Kate Humble.

Well it's my own fault for switching on "LambWatch" of course but I turned it off again after 7 mins (honest).

She is so humungously patronising, never stops talking and everything is always about her and not the actual programme.

On a more positive note, I really love Monty Don.

And yes, before you ask, I am very bored today

Anne Foy CBBC presenter. She makes me want to throw something at the tv. She is one of those women who seems to think its cool to be stupid and talks in a baby girly voice all the time!!

Susanna Reid off BBC Breakfast

I'm not a violent person but she makes me want to grab hold of her shoulders, give her a shake and slap round the chops

Every time she comes on the telly I become incandescent with rage... and don't even get me started on her feeble attempt at covering the Oscars. Embarrassingly useless!!

Glad somebody else thinks Dermot O Leary is creepy! I hate his voice on the radio it really goes through me. He sounds like some pervy old Uncle or something. Don't find him as annoying on the tele but on the radio his voice is like fingernails down a chalk board!

Carla Romano is awful awful awful . . in so many ways. I thought she looked like a man in drag the other day presenting from the Oscars.

I have always hated Piers Morgan. It was bad enough when he was in charge of The Mirror but now he is on the tv it's just unbearable! YUK!

And who thought it was a good idea for Ian Wright to become a presenter? The man is as thick as two short planks!

Ooh, glad someone else has said Kate Thornton. She annoys the hell out of me

In fact, add all the Loose Woman to the list (aprat from Ruth Whatserface, she is ok)

Also can't stand Holly Willoughby - she is gorgeous but a bit too saccharine

Eamonn Holmes makes me want to stick hot needles in my eyes.

Speaking of adverts, anyone else loathe that Whiskas one where the stupid bint talks about her cat inviting friends over for some dinner. It's a fecking cat FFS, not come fecking dine with me AAAAAARRRGGGH (and breathe..)

Louise Rednapp - thick as 2 short planks and has nothing remotely interesting to say.

Forgot about Alan Carr. Just caught the end of his show with him interviewing Lindsey Lohan. Cringe! Both as awful as each other

Most of mine are women as well. Terrible support for the sisters!

Kate Thornton
Sherrie Hewson on Loose Women
Davina
Fearne Cotton - did anyone see those interviews she did for ITV2, so vacant..

Quite like Kirsty Young, apart from the fact that she does too much botox so can't move her face. In fact is anyone else a little freaked out by the fact that all the women on telly past 30 years of age are botoxed with frozen faces?

Jonathan Ross. I'm so glad to see that now he's on his last legs, he can't really attract top guests anymore.

Jumblygirl · 12/03/2010 10:42

Agree about Woss and about female frozen faces. It is scary.

Did anyone see Monty on Question Time last night (ahhhhh, sigggghhhhh)? Although I of course miss seeing him astride a double dug channel of peat and manure planting beech saplings (calm, calm) he could definitely hold his own in the political arena.

Monty for PM I say!

And to be fair to the sisterhood, perhaps becoming botoxed and irritating comes with the territory of scaling the career ladder and battling the obvious misogyny of male BBC producers ....

I was discussing this with a friend the other day. I really find it hard to think of many women presenters who I respect and like.

The two that emerged from a long discussion were Sandy Toksvig and Mariella Frostrup. Why can't the whole media spectrum reflect Radio four?

Report
goygoy · 12/03/2010 11:13

Steve Jones (off T4). Yes you are gorgeous but there's no need to be so smug about it.

Michael Winner (that car insurance advert)

Natasha Kaplinsky (stepford wife)

Melinda Messenger (too bouncy and too many teeth)

Irrational dislike of both Cat Deeley & Christine Bleakly (sp?).

That's the hairstyle, although it maybe looks slightly better on Dave!

I forgot about Fiona Phillips and her witchy clawed hands, pointing condescendingly at people during her interviews. I was so glad when she left GMTV, Emma is so much better.

I loved Carol's dominatrix turn on Question Time. But then I love Carol generally.

Most annoying: Russell Brand or Fearne Cotton.

Report
Jumblygirl · 12/03/2010 12:28

Oh yes Batherat, Sandy Toksvig is wonderful

And I've just thought of Clare Balding who I like very much

Plus the woman who is resurrecting brass bands is good, Sue somebody

Mariella isn't bad either although I once heard her make a very fundamental error on some pseudo intellectual book programme (she said something written in 1870 was 18th century) and I've suspected her credentials ever since

But they are all witty, down to earth, and very professional and manage to focus on the matter on hand rather than wittering on annoyingly

Three of them lesbians aren't they?

I wonder what that says about heterosexual woman on telly (if anything)?

Kirstie Allsop - house = 'hice', down = 'darn'

Lynda Barker used to be one of the most shrill voices I've ever heard, she constantly over-projected her voice.

Lorraine Kelly gets to me, don't know why, just find her irritating
