OOOHHHH the bike out of the smoke....oh NO,...blooming adverts!

CJCregg · 27/02/2010 01:10

Stupid question, perhaps, but if you were escaping from an already severely damaged building that was about to blow up, would you really, actually take the lift?

LittlePushka · 27/02/2010 01:11

She is me in reverse CJ,...I used to be like that until I had DS's,...now Im just a bit too fat and very Mumsy, like she was! Mr Pushka is obviously JUST like Arnie...

How was Damages,...?

LittlePushka · 27/02/2010 01:13

The lift thing is about the only unrealistic thing in this I reckon,...kinda spoilt that scene Cj don't you think?!

CJCregg · 27/02/2010 01:14

I have never, ever been like that.

Still hoping one day I'll get my shit together.

Damages was excellent, I highly recommend it. It does help if you've seen at least one of the previous two series though. Otherwise there's quite a lot to get your head round.

LittlePushka · 27/02/2010 01:15

STAY HERE. I'LL BE BACK.

He's taking a few bullets for her though...

CJCregg · 27/02/2010 01:15

Sorry, the lift thing is just me being literal and pedantic. Of course, it just spoilt the veracity of the whole thing!

CJCregg · 27/02/2010 01:15

Fuck, that gun ...

LittlePushka · 27/02/2010 01:16

... Arnies weapon sounds just like a spud gun

LittlePushka · 27/02/2010 01:18

The bloke on the motor cycle reminds me of CHiPS....and that really is NO way to fly a chopper!

LittlePushka · 27/02/2010 01:20

Uh oh...black hawk down! And Sarah is hit,....great bit coming up..

CJCregg · 27/02/2010 01:22

I'm liking the look of the words Liquid Nitrogen on the side of that tanker.

LittlePushka · 27/02/2010 01:23

Why is he shooting at the lorry when he knows he cannot terminate the driver. Why not just blow the tyres and it would crash? Like,...der..!

CJCregg · 27/02/2010 01:23

Ah yes ...

CJCregg · 27/02/2010 01:25

BABY!

LittlePushka · 27/02/2010 01:26

HASTA LA VISTA BABY! Hurrah!

LittlePushka · 27/02/2010 01:26

Does that bloke never quit?!

CJCregg · 27/02/2010 01:27

Oh, FFS ...

Come on, Arnie. Sort it, would you? I need to go to bed now.

CJCregg · 27/02/2010 01:28

Loved watching that twat's arm fall off, though.

LittlePushka · 27/02/2010 01:39

CJ,..I am worn out after all that. You a bit teary yet?

LittlePushka · 27/02/2010 01:41

What a great film,...nice to share it with you CJ.

Chat again sometime...I'LL BE BACK

CJCregg · 27/02/2010 01:42

Nah - s'only Arnie pretending to be a robot, innit?

I am knackered, though, so I'm off to bed now. Thanks for keeping me up so late! It's been ... emotional.

CJCregg · 27/02/2010 01:42

I shall look out for you!

LittlePushka · 27/02/2010 01:44

Night night!

Actually - OurLadyOfPerpetualSupper is quite right. Johnny Depp had made some big films such as Edward Scissorhands etc and he was well known and well respected, but it was Pirates that catapulted him to MEGA stardom. Actually, the director of Pirates had a lot of bother trying to persuade the studio that JD was the man for the job. They said he wasn't a big enough star and the film would lose money, but he stuck to his guns and hired him.

Nowadays he can pretty much open a film and get it made but he couldn't before Pirates, and he stuck mostly to arty projects instead.I think this what both Jonathan Ross and OurLadyOfPerpetualSupper were referring to.
