Neighbours: am I the only one feeling sorry for Dan?

Poor Dan, Susan really is the the Mother in law from hell and he has to live in the same street.
Libby goes crying to her parents about the slightest thing and tells them much too much. I can understand why he feels so put out.

Im with you on that one bathbuns, new face for Dan and let Declan get written out nicely, as couldnt see him played by anyone else.

Although if they sent Declan and India to live with the Parkers that would be worse. I would feel too sorry for him to watch.

Did Lyn experience any form of mental health problem? I missed a couple of years there and cant work out what destabilised her so much.

She nearly married Paul- she was his PA or something and then fell for him. For some reason he proposed and then left her on her wedding day.

Looks like Lucas's recovery from paralysis is going to beat all known Neighbours records. The scratch on his head hasn't healed yet, but he's already hauling himself along that rail at rehab and on to crutches by the end of the episode. And Susan has thrown down her walking stick already too. Nothing short of miraculous really.

He didn't really need to go to rehab did he! Lucas's day - wake up paralysed, go to rehab, fail to fall for reverse phsycology, become a rebel, hire a bus,organise and go on trip with other paralysed people, back to rehab, sweat lots, learn to walk again, go home in time for tea.

Even quicker than Bridget. He's just lucky he didnt get amnesia - took Harold years to recover from that - although Susan was quicker and Zeke just needed a few weeks of flashbacks.

I enjoy a good bit of Ramsay Street amnesia when they spurn and shun their former commmunity with great suspicion and enthusiasm.

and of course all health care professionals with the except of Dr Karl 'i specialise in everything' Kenedy, talk to their patients like the way that physio did.

does anyone remember mrs mangles amnesia- which actually made her forget she was suppose to be a miserable cow, for a while anyway?

some of the characters often forget they have children and parents like lyn who occasionally mentions oscar but what about her daughters iremember steph having at least 1 sister? and Paul almost didn't recognise long lost andrew with the odd accent. Also little charlie has forgotton he ha a dad because hes never seen his dad max again - no access rights there!

stephs sisters were flick and ? and she had a brother called jack who played football for an english club but turned up with a wife i think.

I missed a couple of years and was assuming Max had died for a while there. Im sure Charlie will have a plethora of father figures - there have been a few already and Steph seems determined to stick around but her love interests keep on leaving. Unlucky in love that girl.

Was Michelle the one who had a mad crush on Billy Kennedy? Or was that Flick. Loved the guy that played Billy in my youth. So pleased when he turned up doctoring in House.

Perhaps they only have one wheelchair in the props room, so Susan had to get better before Lucas could have his accident.

Poor Oscar barely gets a mention, does he - though he's probably better off where he is than living with Lynn - she has had mental health problems in the past, and seems on the verge of a breakdown if asked for a cup of coffee in Harold's Store!

Miraculous recoveries, barely any mention of Elle chucking Lucas, Lucas realising he has actually loved Steph all along and after about 2 minutes of resistance Steph completely over her guilt about shagging Dan and announcing 'We're together'

Jack played football with an English club and then came home with his girlfriend (can't remember why). I think he had an affair with Max's sister and then the girlfriend ended up getting pregnant by Michelle's (possibly ex by this time)boyfriend Connor... How do I remember all this???

In answer to OP though, I don't feel sorry for Dan even though Susan is the interfering MIL from hell. They always forget abut her MS until they need another storyline then it rears it's ugly head again.

Elle has gone from being a local reporter in Erinsborough to being the Middle East Correspondant for some big New York paper! I probably shouldn't scoff - The Erinsborough News is probably where Kate Adie started.

It was the New York Times no less, they didnt even bother making up a paper!

Compo, Lucas drove into a truck while speeding in fury at Elle dumping him by videotext on Christmas eve. Classy Elle, classy.

I think SDTG is onto something with the one wheelchair theory - nice of Lucas to free it up so fast for the next person. Didnt the girl Conor impregnated also become paralysed, at least temporarily?

Best Clara-in-Heidi type "recovery" so far has to be Fraiser, Ringos brother, when the child fell in the pool.

Zeke has also moved on from Sunny pretty quickly.

Someone on this thread threatened said Sunny might be going to make another appearance. Yes, perhaps Zeke needs to give Declan some tips on moving on, he seems fairly expert on it.

But I am actually impressed they have let Declan continue grieveing for actual months.

She was brought in fairly hurriedly when they recieved lots of complaints about the utter lack of any ethnic diversity in their cast. Complaints were completely justified but they couldve used better actors and storylines instead of token few months from Sunny and then reverting back to same.
