Did anyone else think that last night's episode was the best written on ever? They must have different writers on board.

Two important questions below..

Is Leo dead or just wan?!
Do you fancy Harry?

They might have I've never seen the series where she first starts working with them.

I jumped from Amanda Burton hiring Harry as her assistant to the whole Leo-Harry-Nikki thing.

Maybe they have????

I was a day behind on my viewing. But I really liked this again. Much better than previous series. In a way I hope that harry and nikki don't get it on, the thrill is in thechase. A bit like ashes to ashes. Harry has certainly become more arsy but I can live with that!

Looking forward to next week.

No they haven't got it on and i don't think they will - i saw Emilia Fox on this morning who said they had been oblivious to how much the viewers wanted them to get it on or thinking they would.

She deserves better than him anyway - he is such an arse this series!

So, last night's episode explains a lot about Harry's anger and arsyness - but I didn't like him crying either .
Best of the series so far I think.

Still got Friday's episode to get through, but it is another good one.

We saw that Sue Tully as in from Eastenders fame was an editor or producer, is that a new thing? Is she the difference or is it the writing?

Omigod - is Nicky going to be shot? Or Charlie, and what about Leo's new baby? Lots going on tonight, possibly less forensic science, more general drama, but we loved it ( but possibly not the moment the police man got shot )

Does anyone remember that scene from right at the end of an episode about 2/3 years ago where Nikki "got dressed" for a night out in front of Harry and basically prick-teased him ? Stoic chap, he sat there and didn't seem to react.

Blimey what an excellent episode last night. I jumped a mile when the policeman got shot outside the door. Can't wait for the conclusion tonight.

Lol! I don't remember that episode UQ (can't think why it's stuck in you mind ). Nicky shurely wouldn't do that! She's so buttoned up.

It's so much more graphic now than in the Sam Ryan days. She always used to be up to her elbows in goo just out of shot. Now you see the lot. We have to keep half an ear open in case any dc are tip-toeing downstairs for a drink. I'd hate them to open the door to some of that.

The writing on Silent Witness is very good though imo. I love it.

Am I the only one who didn't enjoy last night's episode? Too tense and scary for me. Prefer all the forensic stuff.

I too noticed it was directed by Sue Tully. I guess it is the one from EastEnders?

I didn't watch any of the old series, so this is like a new programme to me. It's brilliant. They act really well (compared to a lot of programmes), it's gripping viewing.

Last night's epiosode was terrifying, i was totally submerged in it.

I didn't realise it was affiliated to a Uni either and i also shot of the sofa when the policeman got shot.

Honestly, my heart rate was banging away through out the whole thing, and at the end, everytime Nikki made a noise in the locker room i was totally brickin myself, i wanted to shout SSSSSHHHHHHHHHH he's going to get you.

Brilliant writing, acting and programme. (I rarely say that these days).

I too did not know they were at a uni, although did know Leo was a lecturer. Last night's episode was SO good- I screeched when the policeman was shot! And when the student asked for his mum my heart just broke. Very tense and well done.

Although when Nikki was crying in the locker room on her own at the end I couldn't help but think, 'wow... nice boots... where are they from I wonder...'

I know Mrsmotmot, i too was there like a sprung coil thinking, ah shame about her blouse, maybe a bit of vanish will get the blood out, cos i'd want to wear that again!

Then she trots out into the corridor in her boots and i'm like, oh there rather to nice to be stealth walking away from a gun weilding lunatic.

I felt positively appalled when she took her nice scarf off and stuffed it into the hole in his neck. So, so shallow...

Actually (and I am aware of how sad and strange my memory can be) Harry and Nikki did have a snog a few series ago, in a pub when Nikki was moaning about being single forever. They were going to go on a proper date I think but then Harry had some sort of crisis and it all fizzled out. (or maybe I dreamt it)

I too winced when she used her cool scarf to staunch the blood - heaven help anyone I'm ever in an emergency massacre situation with

I love the way DH and I have our supper watching silent witness.... As they pour out stomach contents and slice brain pieces, we are tucking in!! It will be the same tonight and we are having curry. Yum!
