Has anyone watched DEXTER need opinions

Is it quirky as in a 6 feet under type of way or really quite gruesome?

agree the English actress was really bloody irritating- that weird accent and all the gurning!

series 1 is fab. Am watching series 2 atm, not quite so enamoured of it.
