DR WHO TONIGHT!

This is a small emergency in the Lonelymum household! Is anyone able to record tonight's episode of Dr Who and send it to me? I will pay whatever costs are incurred. Ds1 has gone to a scout sleepover and is missing tonight's episode (which is the last). We said we would record it for him but our VCR isn't working. I know some may say he should be able to go without one episode, but he is such a fan, he was scared to be going away for his first night camping tonight, and it is his birthday on Tuesday. I really don't want to let him down.

PB - my ds does the 'are you my mommy' thing too. Sounds really spooky and he thinks is hilariuos (he is 5). He also repeats the line to the dalek.. 'what are you going to do with that thing? suck me to death?'.

Marina · 01/07/2005 11:49

Oh we've had "suck me to death" too. Nice. Ds didn't like the episodes with the Blitz so we turned off PDQ.
What are these little people like? None of us are obsessed with Christopher Eccleston or anything like that!

is it on again? looks like CE - helpped me and DH to get PG this week as after the finale I jumped on DH whilst thinking of CE - seems to have worked as well!

Baby has to be Christopher or Christina in due course

god - I loved his cbeebies beard. I think I'm starting a weird thing for beards though. Trying to persuade dh (he's almost there, stubbly very quickly and only shaves once a week).

Well the kids have lost interest a bit but I'm definately still pining for CE!

Lonelymum · 01/07/2005 19:31

Marina, my ds1 is still obsessed. Not helped by the fact that he was given a couple of Dr Who books and a DVD of three episodes for his birthday last week. He isn't the only one round here though. A friend of his at school is still obsessed too and only yesterday his mother was trying to arrange a time for our two boys to get together to wallow in Dr Who. Apparently he drives his mother mad quoting odd lines from the series!

Can't wait for DT - I will only be wtaching it for him I'm afraid! If I had the money, I would buy the Casanova DVD (if there is one)

DD2 has requested DVDs for her birthday in Sept. Agreed of course. More CE for me as the nights draw in.
DS is always talking about the bombs and "are you my mummy?". Exterminates people in the supermarket too!

Fantastic programme - DH, me and DS (5) will miss it. Good family programme. CE brilliant and so was BP. DS not very happy with new Doctor but I am sure he will get used to him. I loved him in Casenove
