Cheryl Cole's outfit - WTF?

Sorry if this has been picked over on the X-factor thread but I thought it deserved a thread of its own. What was she thinking?

Do you remember when Kylie first went "raunchy" and tried to do a Madonna - there were shots of her live show where she had fishnets and buttock cheeks displayed. It looked so Sub and naff and contrived. Cheryl's outfit looked like she was the Lithuanian entry for the Eurovision. How bad was it? And I have only seen a photograph I didn't actually watch the programme.
I have seen her video though and thought that was a dog's dinner. That sheer body, coming up over the waistband just looks bloody uncomfortable - I hope that look doesn't hit the high street!

Dreadful outfit - looked like an early nineties stylee body that was cut too high - very odd.

She is very beautiful, has a stunning figure, has a lovely personality but I'm afraid she can't sing.

Hated the outfit on the X-factor, thought it did nothing for her.

I couldn't understand how the trouser thingies stayed up. It looked like they were half pulled down - v. annoying to look at.

Robbie covered his drug-like stupor better than Whitney who looked like she didn't know where she was. Dermot was obviously out of his comfort zone. Wonder who's the star next week - Pete Doherty?

littlepollyflinders - I think you might be slightly over sensitive. It is the X factor and is an entertainment programme designed to find someone who can sing a bit and sell some records. I know the song uses the notion of fighting but I didnt for a moment confuse the (frivolous) song Cheryl Cole was singing with the (very very serious) fight to end the insurgency in Afhganistan.

Re CC - think she is very gorgeous and if I could pull off an outfit like that I would do it like a shot. The song is pretty lame and her vocals weren't great but much better than I exepected and at least she had a go at doing it live. Dont mind her at all - are much better targets to have a pop at IMO

tbh I really didn't take in the song. For the life of me I couldn't say now how the chorus went.

I took it as "fight for this love" as in not give up on it.

you could relate all song to bad things going on and find them inappropriate if you look at them that way.

CC did better than I expected. Her husband is a twunt though

I thought cheryl was great, after everything that was said about her, i am glad she proved everyone wrong.
